Re: Thoughts on All Crops Nice writeup, and agreed on the peas, just not worth the effort.
Turnips make great hare bait when using loop snares. Weight can be reduced by using 1 turnip per pot of soup, then stockpiling the leftover turnips for use as bait.

Another wild crop (non-plantable) plant that I think should be mentioned is bog bean, almost as nutritious as lake reed (which is twice that of broad beans), definitely worth picking up. Makes great elk/deer/hare bait too. Sadly they're hard to find at times.

[corrected] Typo in Old Man completion reward. Correct past tense of 'cast' is 'cast' (not casted)

Re: Limit drop feathers be wilderness tile That’s funny. I was thinking the opposite.
For a new character to get to arrow making, there’s not enough feathers from start, one has to stick around an area to eventually find some feathers.

And I would really like an option to get feathers by trade too, otherwise any fletcher pretty much needs to be also a bird trapper. Maybe trade feathers from the kids, with all that running around the villages and neighboring woods.

You might need to spread your homestead out some more. The hoarder prompt comes after 1k stacks if memory serves. 10 feather stacks is just 1% of the items.

Re: 3.80 (beta) Add "quests" to the quest menu (F2) for ordered goods
—snip—

I remember Sami removed the old SHIFT+L message log because he said nobody used it.  I did!  It was my only way of knowing when I had put my nets out  :(

Same, I still try to hit Log to see when I set the nets, only to be prompted it’s not available any longer.

Re: Vivi's Dogfood Biscuits (as in US, not UK) in general are akin to hardtack, not soft like modern cookies.
So they’re unleavened, no raising agents. And baked low heat for good duration, often for military/sailing rations they’d be baked twice to drive out moisture.

Adding meat to the mixture in simplest sense would not speed up spoilage, but the baking process would be either multi step: dry and ground the meat to powder first, then mix that in to the biscuit dough.
Most realistic way ingame would be to require the meat be dried cuts, not fresh.
Driving out moisture from raw meat mixed in batter, the meat would contain moisture after the biscuit is burnt.
Adding fat, it’d need to be rendered first, (tallow, lard) otherwise it would go rancid.

Re: Vivi's Dogfood Roasting does remove very little moisture. Moisture and oxidation = spoilage.
Maybe add a “baked meat”, dehydrated /dried recipe (24h?) as a travel/dog biscuit preparation step to be done first. In case there’s no dried meat available.

Re: The UrW Anti-RSI Campaign group. ARSI, for short. Apprenticeship learning has been around forever. Rather than a single quest or purchase for a boost, make it series of tasks and then after weeks, even months worth of work, give bonus to relevant skill(s).

For cutting a hole in ice with quaff requires declining the option to drink from natural source (after the initial hole is cut), then asks to cut a hole in ice and then direction where to cut the hole. Using {Alt+fishing, then cut hole, one can skip the drinking prompt and the prompt to cut the ice, taking couple key presses off the sequence. And that task is also repeatable.
For thin ice, it's often less fatigue for the character to grab 3-5 slender trunks and throw them ahead to break the ice, pick up and repeat. But that's actually, more keypresses, fatigue for the player.

Re: So nettle seeds are a thing after all Hemp is the choice when it comes to fiber production. Also doesn't hurt that hemp seeds are pretty darn good for wildflour or to pump up nutrition as seasoning in recipes.
Nettle beverage is the ticket though in case one catches cold. Heather beverage is good for cold remedy too.

Re: Reduce the visibility-blocking in the rain & snow tiles It can be nigh impossible to see anything in-game when it really comes down. But then, when it rains sideways or it's total white-out / blizzard, you don't really see anything in real life either.

So as long as the suggestion would be a customizable setting, I can see it beneficial.

Changing items to new Miscellaneous category Pretty simple suggestion, change categories of non-weapon and other items that don't function as weapons or tools without assembly to Miscellaneous.
Arrow heads, bow strings, bandages, fish hooks, feathers, antlers, skulls, bones, and teeth.

Less clutter, all items still readily available.
