Hi everyone

I need help finding a treasure. I need to look for a chasm in a cliff. I have no clue how this is supposed to look like. There are plenty of cliffs in the area named and I feel like I'll be digging the whole winter to find that treasure.

My current character doesn't have much luck with hunting and needs desperately some furs for winter clothing and skis. This treasure might just be the way to finally get some furs.

Thank you!

Treasure in a chasm are just a pile of items in a crevice, so there's no digging involved. Instead, you need to go to each matching tile and scan pass over them so your character has viewed all of the cliff parts.

For the current version I'd recommend skipping the skis, especially if your character isn't very large. The weight of the skis increase fatigue far more than the slightly increased speed provides range, so you don't have to travel very far before your movement rate on skis is lower than that on foot due to the extra fatigue build-up from the weight. This is going to be rebalanced a bit in the next release, so hopefully skis will be useful then. I'd definitely not waste good furs on skis currently if you're desperate for warmth.

Thank you for your answer.

I could swear I've checked all cliffs in the area and did not find any treasure. Must have missed something then...

Fairly late reply, but in case it helps anyone else, can I assume this is from the wounded adventurer questline? When I got that quest, it took me forever but I finally managed to find the treasure on the last overworld mountain tile in the named area he pointed me to. The "chasm" is literally just a 1x2 tile depression that you have to climb down into, and the items might not be apparent depending on your perspective. I've attached an image of the area where I found them so you know what to look for. Came away with a few furs and a bronze bracelet. Pretty neat reward for a simple quest.

Yea, also as future reference. I've had maybe 5 or 6 treasures in crevices. Wounded Adventurer is the most common, but I also got one from an escort mission once ("are you by chance travelling to your homeland?" or similar). I'm pretty sure the treasure has been in 1x1, 1x2 and possibly a 1x3 hole in the ground. Depending on what the treasure is it can be easy to miss visually, so I've learned to only search in the daytime, otherwise it hurts the eyes too much.
