We are happy to announce that good old UnReal World will arrive on GOG (Goog Old Games) digital distribution platform soon.
It's time to get excited, spread the word and visit UnReal World on GOG page for wishlisting and sneak peek.
GOG release is bound to happen this month, and as soon as everything is checked and verified thoroughly I'll be posting another announcement with the exact time and date.

The process of launching UnReal World on GOG was initiated a bit out of the blue in late september and it kind of re-arranged my plans of finalizing the upcoming version for an october release. Now our schedule is to have UnReal World released on GOG this month, and then follow up with a new UnReal World version in November on all the three distribution platforms; Steam, GOG, Itch.io. And the rest will be history, as they say.

I'm super happy for UnReal World to arrive on GOG, as it has been wished for by the players for years, and because Good Old Games is more than suitable new digital home for a game with more than three decades of development history.
Cheers!

Do we happen to have anyone who knows how the GOG dreamlist works?

At the moment UrW has 1832 votes on the dreamlist - I wonder if the GOG system automatically connects the dreamlist entry with the actual UrW entry? Do all the 1832 voters get a notification that one of their dream games has been added?

I think so, yes.

I got an email from GoG saying that Breath of Fire IV has been added to GoG thanks to the Dreamlist voters (don't remember whether I voted for that game or not, but got the email nonetheless).

At any rate I have upvoted UnReal World on the Dreamlist, so when the game is finally released on GoG (YAY!!!) I'll let you know whether I get another email from GoG or not. :)

As far as I'm concerned GOG doesn't seem to support developer generated promotional/giveaway keys, so there's no convenient mass option for that.
I'll contact them and see if there are any workarounds. Will reply back here when I'm wiser.

I got things sorted out now, and it's possible to redeem a GOG key as a lifetimer.  E-mail me and let's take it from there.
This goes naturally for all the lifetimers who'd prefer to get a GOG key, although I believe many have made a purchase already by now.
