[3.63] Question about world temperature(s)

Hi all - just a quick question - is the thermometer (pictured in the upper-left) representative of the entire World Map of the game? Do different parts of the map have different temperatures, such as the Seal Tribe lands, being the most Northern geographically, having on average colder temperatures than say the Driik?
