Character is often tired after hunting. But skinning, butchering, cooking, selling requires time. And what if you find another animal? Carcass and meat spoils very fast at the summer.
What may help in this situation?

I found that taking all closes and swimming may help prevent falling a sleep. Not intentionally supported by game mechanics. But character wakes up shivering from coldness, so he may successfully deliver and sell meat. Fasting also prevents from falling a sleep.
Are there some herbal beverages that can help stay on feet?

I tried to keep a bull with building materials in case I need to build a cellar.
But hunting is unpredictable and if you build on advance you may not find a animal in that area or when you find it you may already be tired.

Other tactics I thought of is building a shelters more often and stop hunting when the sun approaches the horizon.

If there's a decent moon, I'll sometimes sleep during the day, sometimes for just a couple of hours before setting off on a hunt.

Bear pipe and mother pipe are two herbs that I always try to have on hand.  If you get an elk, eat a bit of bear pipe and you'll have the vigour for skinning and butchering it.
