It's definitely in the UnrealWorld folder along with the other diy_* files, but I'm still not seeing it in the Utility Articles menu after pressing '+'.

I figured it out, I didn't see it cuz i was testing on my old save files. I recently created a new save file to play with the mod and dont see it, while i see it on my old saves. >_>

You get this error after editing... er, multiple values at once? Replicate by changing the values by typing in the number. (Afaik...)

Wait, I narrowed it down. I think that setting everything in Physical Profile to 18 is impossible as the error pops up when everything is at max. :)

Also, the following skills skills seem to be swapped.
Actual | Editor

Cookery = Stealth (Increase Stealth in editor = Cookery ingame)
Fishing = Swimming
Timbercraft = Skiing
Netmaking = Fishing
Bowyer = Netmaking
Physician = Cookery

Skiing = Timbercraft
Stealth = Climbing
Climbing = Physician
Swimming = Timbercraft

For the combat skills section...
Game version has removed the flail skill, editing skills shifts up by one starting from the spear location
Flail editor = Spear ingame
Spear editor = Bow ingame
Bow editor = Crossbow
Crossbow = Unarmed
Unarmed = Not used

Tldr:
1: Physical profile doesn't allow setting max 18 of everything
2: Lore & Craft skills + Physical skills have their skills swapped around when translating from editor to actual game
3: Combat skills error, skills shifted up by one starting from the spear section
! Note, this is a new save game file created in 3.86.1 stable.

no worries on the timeliness- thank you for looking into it when you do!

I have a small other question- could we maybe be allowed to Hot Smoke in the center of a lit kota? I am not sure if this would be difficult and annoying to add, if so please disregard

I just wanted to say that I thought that was already possible... just plug it in the center and start a fire? XD

I tried the attached mod but couldn't bring the character into a situation where the 'training session' crafting was stopped due to any circumstance, be
it fatigue or anything else, so I couldn't really observe what happens within that condition. Aborting the task manually (ESC) didn't leave any unfinished work-in-progress data, though.
Can you provide a savegame with this situation going on?
Work-in-progress items can't be discarded, but like Plotinus mentioned they should be continued by crafting the same item again, but you may have tried that already.

Ah, I was notified of this bug by another person. I managed to replicate it, but I remember it took quite a while in version 3.85...
With the current version(3.86.1), I haven't managed to replicate it yet. (After spending a while of trying, haha.)
The person has this save file with the partially created tokens; its on the sleeping bunk and the spot by the door. I don't have the info on which skill it is that they dropped exhausted from. Maybe you can poke the partially constructed tokens for more info?
... Feels like an edge case XD

Sorry? after pressing +? I thought the Utility Articles menu was accessed by M and then U. Ah, I just tried it out and see it still. Maybe you should update your game and/or reinstall ^_^;
You can also try verifying integrity in steam, if you're using the steam version(I forget if this game has GOG or other platforms)

*thinking.jpg* Okay, how did you unzip the file? Could you check the text file and get back to me? Just open the txt file and paste the contents here. I'll check if it matches mine, it may be an unzip error?

Tried to use your mod following the directions you gave, but I can't seem to find the recipe in the Utility Articles menu. It may be an error on my end, I've been playing a long time but haven't used any mods in years. I'll add that I'm not using any other mods.

Regardless of it being in steam or free version, it should be in
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\UnRealWorld
Ignore the steam part. Just put diy_Skin.txt in UnRealWorld folder.

Will modify my post to add this for clarity, hope it helps! Also, maybe look closer? It won't be the same letter as the screenshot as I have other mods that add to Utility Articles.

Basically, while crafting Training Sessions and aborting task due to being very Fatiqued, character will leave on tile 'work in progress' training sessions that cannot be burnt, discarded, removed, etc. So now it shows up every time you try to pick up tiles on the tile. Cannot continue it either, as there are no options to continue the paused process.

Note: This is a modded item. Attached are pictures and the mod's text files for bug fixing.
Thoughts: I think simply letting Shift + D discard also discard work in progress modded items will help. (I have no idea if work in progress non modded items can be discarded)
Workaround for now: Don't use mod recipes when high level fatique/energy level.

Right, so Sami removed the Skin you can find in villages with Wooden Canteen instead, because it didn't fit with the Finnish era. This mod is for people who disagree with that(I mean, a Skin is as simple as tying leather with tying equipment, right?).
Granted, I have zero idea if leather is waterproof off the bat. Realistically wise.

I play in imperial, so here is the weightage to compare with what Sami added.

Empty
130g skin
0.5kg canteen

Filled with water
2.4kg skin
2.7kg canteen

You get back the default Skin that used to be in the game, with the same weight values and so on.
The recipe is 130g of leather and 0.3kg of tying equipment. Its in the Utility menu.

Installation:
Just paste into the UnReal world folder after unzipping.
Regardless of it being in steam or free version, it should be in
D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\UnRealWorld
Ignore the steam part. Just put diy_Skin.txt in UnRealWorld folder.

- Backwards compatible. ^_^
- changed base item inherit from Skin to Leather cap

! Due to version 3.85 removing Skin, saves started from an older version will see it in Utility Articles but new save files will not when using the old skin mod. Basically the mod didn't work from that version onwards since it base inherited from Skin.

Gmornin,
I've got the first version of BAC 3.85 right here :)

V1.0:
 - updated vanilla items to 3.85 standards
 - commented out woven boating frame and the birch bark canoe to make space for vanilla netmaking and net mending.
v1.1
 - Fixed Woolen sleeved dress failing to craft and consuming materials.


Regarding the birch bark canoe: Most of these recipes look like they would break the UI with the number of items required, so it is shelved for now. But if you love building and using these, let me know. For now, just comment them in and comment something else out if you need to.

As always, let me know when you find bugs or issues. I check back here occasionally, but I am on the discord server too. Cheers!

Not a must, but may I suggest you modify the Topic's title whenever unreal world updates instead of having multiple different topics? :D

Thank you very much for suggesting this!

Unfortunately, it doesn't "see" the training sessions as being an item to discard. I know the command is working because it gave me a choice to discard everything else in that tile, but it ignored the partially crafted training sessions.

For now I just put furs over them to hide them lol but I'd really like to solve this puzzle of making them go away!

Hey, just in case you check this topic again. If you made a bug report, could you link it here? I'd like to keep track on if it gets fixed. :D
I had debated on if I wanted training sessions to ever have a tile, before realising it just might as well be held forever. RIP the pausable things though... I should add a note not to do it when exhuasted or so before it piles. :)
