The ringed seal has many of the same habits as the larger grey seal and can usually be found in the same types of locations. Unlike the grey seal, ringed seals are solitary.

Butchering a ringed seal provides less meat and fat, but the fur is only slightly less valuable than that of the grey seal. Like the grey seal, its fur is poorly suited for making clothing and is best used for trading.
