Torches can be crafted from 10 Branches using the timbercraft skill. This process requires no tools. They can be useful in cave exploration. It is likely that making torches does not train any skill at all.Verify
To light a torch stand next to a fire and [a]pply the torch with the fire. A torch may be put out and conserved by using [a]pply as well. A torch weighs 1 lb.
Lit torches can neither be dropped nor thrown.
