The very first fish of the spring that you catch with a fishing rod in open water season should be thrown back into the water to please the spirit of the water and assure your future fishing luck.
Rod fisherman's sacrifice is a spell that can be performed when first fishing after the ice over water is gone during the spring. It should not be confused with similar spell called fisherman's springtime sacrifice.
