I deconstructed a wall section from the lonely settler start up and got plain logs.
Also my lonely settler is in a spruce mire, and there are no pine forests for kilometers around, but the logs that are lying around are all pine.

Fixed now - and there might still be other similar instances with logs.
The log wood type in this scenario is hardcoded to pine by default, and it doesn't take the actual terrain type into account.
For better immersion we could change the default log type to spruce as they tend to grow sparsely in pine forests too.
