Adventurers are cheap, as they generally just want some food, but old men are expensive as they often require 3 quality weapons (or even more!) plus the food.

That's strange, I know choosing different options makes them want different things. Like choosing if they want to go on a longish adventure they want food, but if you chooseyou want a hunting partner they request weapons. I've just always chosen the option that only requires food. :P

What regions have the most animal activity? During summer or winter?

I know it seems like no mans land has more, but I'm planning on having a lone hunter, so I'd like the best spot.

You need some wood parts, and (5) eggs to try to hatch.

What eggs work? Tried hazel grouse eggs but it didn't accept them?

So summer is coming up, just planted my crops and I've hit the item limit on my character already. I hate just dropping and losing things randomly and being overburdened. What clothes are useless during summer? I took off my fur overcoat but I don't want my armor to go down too much... I have things like iron helms and lamellar hauberk, long mail cowl, mail mittens, fur cloak, etc. Any help?

Also what protects the face well? Thanks!! :D

Like most I'd like for marriage, but npc AI is more important. That was the issue last time, it didn't feel really alive. I think development is pushing for animals right now, which I'm so hyped for.

I think that being able to have baby animals, wild and domestic and having animal breeding would dip our toes into developing families and children aging, well in animals atleast.

Also fingers crossed for gay marriage  ;D!

Don't all of those go under the 'M' menu as sub menus?
Thus, I suspect the poster is trying to say the sub menu bindings clash (without explicitly mentioning which ones, although I suspect it would be 'e' given your snippet).

If that's the case, it's fixed by changing the sub menu key binding of one of the clashing mods to use a key currently not in use anywhere.

Exactly, it's under shift-M. So when I press E it goes to fish Egg harvest instead of weaving. Even when I manually press it, it goes into the egg harvesting menu, making it impossible to weave.

How would I change it?

 The fish farmer module v3.5
Allows you to gather and raise your own fish for food and profit.

Hey I'm using your Fish mod and the Self Sufficiency mod and under M you guys have the same keybindings, so when I try to press Weaving it goes to Fish Egg Harvesting. How can I fix this? Thanks!

I've been making an animal house in winter, I had a companion fall a bunch of trees in summer across a river by my homestead. Since it has frozen over I've been using bulls to transport them, but the one time I carried one and fell in when I pulled myself out I noticed that there were two logs. This was later accidentally recreated with a punt and another log.

3.50 Stable

Version 1.1 now released on github (https://github.com/caethan/urw-sufficiency) with compatibility with the newly-released URW 3.5.

Is it possible to add this into existing games? Or does it need to be a new one? Thanks :)

I'm stuck in playing this game. How can I survive as a newbie without using fishing?
I personally trade for a dog in the beginning, keep your knife.  You can trap without bait, but like I said in the start I make javelin or paw board traps to get a dog. They make everything easier, atleast until you get your main traps/ trap lines up.

After finding, and killing, a black grouse eating bear bones I left, I've been wondering if you could use bones for traps in place of meat. I have tons and it's annoying feeding dogs with them because they take two bites then I have to command them to eat again.

I do not feed my dog bear bones, I leave each bear's bones by where their skulls hang out of respect. But the 20 elk and human bones I'd like to put in traps so I can use the meat to feed my pups.

(Snip)
, while the pelts go to traders to build up a mound of valuables).

I thought foreign traders prefer the more luxurious furs like fox, bear and lynx. Wouldn't it take a lot of regular fires to buy something? It's it better to sell my stag or forest reindeer pelt to them or villagers??

Thanks

I was looking for a price list for 3.50 B but I found the wiki page on item values and I dunno how accurate it is still, however reading it says that shortbow making is the best way to get value out of pelts.

Is this true? If not is there a better value thing to make with furs? I had a fine elk and fine stag skin. My go to trade is Fox traps but I don't even know how valuable those are? :-\

Thanks guys~

Don't dogs also eat bones now?

   - Shane

Yes, but very very slow. My dogs would bark for food and didn't eat them often, sometimes, but always would when told.

I used to be able to feed my puppers with Njerpz corpses, do they not eat them now? :c

Also Driik lands seem really sparse with buy-able animals (Mostly dogs, I've searched 5 villages with only 3 dogs available), where the numbers more spread out between the cultures or is there just less animals??
