Suggestions / ft of Cord
« on: October 29, 2019, 10:34:52 PM »
Instead of having a separate length of cord why not make them all 1ft? The item would then be called "ft of Cord" and the length would be in the quantity. Each recipe would make 15 pieces. This would eliminate quite a bit of micromanagement and be easier to program. It would also cut down on item limits as each grade of cord would be 1 item no matter how many feet you have. Same could be done for rope.

Just a suggestion.

There is currently a bug in the game (which wasn't in the 3.60 BETA) where creating arrows requires 1ft of cord per arrow per arrow. So if you are making 1 at a time it wants a single 1ft cord, if making 2 it wants 2 separate 2ft cords (total 4ft) and so on - 3 at 3ft, 4 at 4ft and 5 at 5ft.

As to the micromanagement I believe it was put in because the auto cutting was creating errors in the number of cords returned from drying and smoking meat.

If I make 1 arrow it requires 1ft of cord. If I make 5 arrows at a time it requires 5ft of cord * 5. Making 2 requires 2ft *2 and so on.

As much as I enjoy a nice geometric progression, this is probably a bug.  ;)

Shouldn't making fur and leather clothing be Hideworking instead of Common?

So, next question is how big a field do people normally grow?

Gameplay questions / How many seeds do you plant per square?
« on: October 24, 2019, 11:13:27 AM »
I've remember reading somewhere that as many as 25 plants could be planted per square but that not all would sprout. So my question to those farmers out there is how many?

Thanks!

I would say it's worth full price. I bought it at full price despite have it for free and have not regretted it one bit - the hours of entertainment provided per dollar is really quite high even for a game.

Just my 2 squirrel furs.

Worth to note - if your skill is very high a counter-strike uses your weapons skill. Both of you will likely be hit, so armor is a good idea.

If you are using a 2 handed weapon, unequip your secondary hand. Dropping is a fast way to do this.

If they drop their weapon use the G command to Get it from their position.

If you are in a bow fight, go behind a tree. If you are directly adjacent it won't block your shots but may stop theirs.

Thank you! That was fast.  ; ;D

Part of it is that you get an attack roll, then the enemy gets a defense roll. I believe the defender wins ties.

This is why I hide if possible - I get an attack roll and they, well, don't get a defense of any kind and usually get hit and for a nasty wound. This also works if they are running away and are facing away from you.

BTW - this work great for hunting, too.

Nope, no mods. When I make a raft it's put into my inventory weighing in at 80lbs. I can pick it up and carry it overland if I need.

So, it takes 3 500lbs logs to make an 80lbs raft?

Perhaps slender logs should be used instead? In real life I wouldn't  fell 3 full sized trees for a simple raft - I'd fell smaller trees anyways.

Thanks
