Suggestions / Warmth Damage and Penalties
« on: April 18, 2022, 06:52:52 PM »
I was thinking, there's heatstrokes, and i thought, why not adding them in game, they would slowly fatigue you and make you thirstier, and if not treated like "Freezing" and "Freezing to Death" could lead to death or in this case, unconsciousness, as well as adding Burns, which would be treated with cold waters, "slight burn", "mild burn", "serious burn" and "severe burn".
Oh and last but not least, I just remembered, why not adding a little more hot warmth levels just like cold warmth levels have "numbingly cold" and "freezing, not sure exactly which ones would suit the hot warmth in this case, but I'd like to see more warmth levels.

Very Late but here am I to agree with you so MUCH!
I don't see why you could not trade same items as long as they're different qualities, actually, in really life that would be a great deal, you don't get to lose your item, you just change it for a lower quality one, but you keep it! And in addition you get some other stuff! Completely acceptable offer! I don't see what's wrong with it, please do add it devs :(

I'm with JP_Finn. Get a dog. Then save up for a dedicated cargo hauler (which, ideally, should be a big bull for maximum cargo capacity, or big cow for the addition of milk, at the cost of some cargo capacity.
Thanks for telling me! I have seen some cows somewhere in some Koivulais Village, I'll try to buy one soon!

General Discussion / Re: How to improve Sword Skill?

By trying to hit enemies, much and repeatedly.
The way I would go about it is to kill everything cornered (exhausted, trapped, etc.) by attacking them with the blunt of a sword, aimed at the head (the aiming is both for hide preservation and for additional training). Using the blunt is, again, both to preserve the hide and to get as much training out of it as possible. Note, though, that it's VERY slow.

I believe it's also possible to train a weapon skill by throwing the weapon (again, MANY times).
Ohhhh alright, but bad thing is you cannot throw swords :(

In "Wounds, Injuries and Diseases", sometimes, when you are injured, it can show "BL" below state, what does that mean?
Note: It was after a damn boar really beated me up in the right eye after I tried killing it, and it killed me, to be honest, what the hell?!? So you're telling me a Boar is far more aggressive than animals like, Elks, Reindeers, Hunters, Woodsmen and All of that?!?!
Oh also, in injury it was all the way up.

Suggestions / Weapon/Tool Damage by Environment/Time/Use
« on: April 16, 2022, 03:35:48 AM »
I have this idea in where, for example, your knife is in the rain for so long, or just in contact with humidity too much
and left unused for a lot of time, it rusts, making it for example "Rusted Kaumolais Knife".
What this would do is basically downgrade it's quality to it's lower quality temporarily until restored.
What do you guys think of my idea?

General Discussion / Re: Njerpez are getting close to my house!
« on: April 14, 2022, 06:28:30 PM »
If you're in the eastern parts of the map (which you obviously are) you run the risk of running into raiders when moving about (they used to be spread evenly throughout the map).
If there's a new "controlled territory" fairly close I would assume they've set up a settlement or possibly a war camp there, which probably means they may have an increased level of raider activity where you are.

So, if you want to be safe from Njerps you should move to the western part of the map (but you won't be safe from robbers anywhere). Otherwise you should be prepared to suddenly run into a patrol as well as seeing them at a distance. Once you encounter them you'll have to decide whether to fight or try to flee.
This is a hard decision since it's almost winter...
Plus I don't wanna leave my home, I mean, just killed someone in a village and got it, but still, it's a very good home, I don't wanna lose it... However there is a village in the West, so... I'll think about it

General Discussion / Re: Tips to Survive in the Cold and Winter
« on: April 14, 2022, 06:46:10 AM »
I really need to know everything I have to know and tips to survive in the cold and winter please, I'd appreciate your help.

Fur clothing is best for warmth, I always like having a fur overcoat as well, both for warmth and emergency cord, fur material.
No shelter; Try to find a 'promising' site to camp, by water, good tree amount, maybe some open area for traps. Build a sm. shelter.
Small shelter; Don't waste wood or effort, keep extra 'pretty much all' wood/branches/sticks cut in a pile next to shelter. Make fire in front of shelter. Warm up and decide what food you're going to try to get. Depending on encumbrance carry a small trunk and some branches for an emergency fire. Set traps or fish 'monitor your temp and be willing to abort to start a fire before critical. While fishing I will often drop/drag a tree trunk over and light it next to my fishing spot.

Cabin; Occasional fire inside keeps it good, monitor your temp and time outside.

Town; If they have a fireplace / town building you can sleep, cook and warm there.
TY

So, I was wandering around my lands, then I checked the map and for my surprise... THERE WAS A NJERPEZ LAND CLOSE TO MY HOUSE!
What do i do????
Should i move????

They do control a territory in game, though you may be more likely to have one come wondering around depending on how much into the 'purple?' area you are.
The red Circle is the "Wasn't here before"
