General Discussion / Everything about Njerpezit?
« on: June 03, 2022, 07:00:31 AM »
I want to know, what a Njerpez Warrior carries and wears, also what the other Njerpez (Not the Warriors) can carry and wear, the Njerpez Culture itself, Their Territories, VILLAGES and CAMPS, their hostility against the player, Etc...
Really give me as much information as you can from them, really would appreciate any information but Wiki's.

General Discussion / Re: Can you cover your eyes with Armor?
« on: June 02, 2022, 06:52:05 PM »
No, there is no armour to cover eyes.  And if there were, I reckon that the extra protection would not be compensated by being unable to see anything!

An iron spectacle helm is the best armour you can get as headwear, it partially covers the face.  But not the eyes.  Because that would be silly.
I thought there was, i remember once seeing a picture of armor coverage and the eyes were GREEN

Can you cover your eyes with armor to protect them?
If so, how? What armor piece do I need?

Suggestions / Re: Weapon/Tool Damage by Environment/Time/Use
« on: June 02, 2022, 08:49:01 AM »
Condition degradation is already in game. But mostly from blocking/counterattacks, or armor&clothing from getting hit. Or shoes wearing down from walking.
There’s dev.plan for moisture for body heat loss, fire lighting difficulty. Adding item wear could be sort of piggy backed to that.

But most knives and metal tools when not in use, would’ve been kept in their sheaths, to minimize their exposure to elements and random songs anyway.
Except shovel. Poor shovels get beat up, dirt, roots, crud, rocks. And no cozy leather scabbard to rest in.

For those that do not like the degradation: Urw.ini has a setting to disable the equipment wear damage.
JUSTIICE TO SHOVELS  :'(

Do villages ever "Re-Stock?", like, after buying something from a village, eventually "Restocking" with the same stuff or different stuff?

Low weight, high value. Easy to haul trade items.

Makes bartering for “masterwork long hauberk” at Driik less burdensome.

Items made of silver can also be used in a way, especially during a quest for meeting… someone.
Tell me more about the quest please, i am interested

Perfect is used for hides&leathers. Masterwork for manufactured goods (most, not all. E.g. highest quality pot are “beautiful”

The wiki is somewhat out of date, but this seems to be accurate still: URW wiki on ‘Quality’
Very good information, thank you.

Pretty much.

I’ve had some characters with 200+ Njerp kills.
But, as the game is rogue like… don’t get mad WHEN your character dies fighting.

(I don’t think any of my toons have ever had their 20th birthday)
Actually... When dying... My expectation of myself is to rage for 1 hour...
But my reality is literally... "Finally" or something like that
Yeah i know, odd.

I have a question about Weapon, Tool and Clothing/Armor Qualities, what qualities are there, what do they affect and how much, also is "Perfect" Quality better or worse than "Masterwork" Quality?

You can also club/maul Njerpez’ arms; they drop weapons, you pick the weapons, then beat their legs, so they can’t run off. And then just dodge their punches.

I’ve not dodge trained with Njerpez in 3.71, last was 3.63 when they were solo acts.
Yes, it’s riskier than elk, but even then, bull elk might gore your eye. But there’s less work after the sparring session is over (no skinning or butchering, just pick up goods and carry on)… unless you let the critter go after.
LMAO
So you just make Njerpez lay down and tell them "C'mon, it's our sparring session" and begin working out?

Can you improve Dodge Skill? If so, how, and can you even improve it to 100% Dodge Skill?

A comment on Palu's post: Like him, I don't like to hire archers. They'll shoot your allies, your animals, even you!

One way to avoid their wild shooting is to TRADE FOR THEIR ARROWS FIRST. So, I check them out for their weapons. Ask them if they're for hire. When 'Yes', try trading for their arrows and take them all. THEN hire them.
Lmao yeah that happened
