Gameplay questions / Re: How do I build wealth
« on: August 06, 2020, 06:10:16 PM »
Speed route——
1: Looking for a village with a small population and rich resources
2: Steal a masterwork longbow
3: Steal a lot of arrows
4: Use forest terrain + bonfire + bow + arrow to empty the village
5: You have armor, bows and arrows, close combat weapons
6: Try to buy some big dogs
7: Attack the merchant
8: buy buy buy
tip: Put on all the clothes you can wear and you will become very powerful. Unless your bow and arrow proficiency is very high, use melee combat weapons, pay attention to merchant armor, and choose to attack the head or body. Attacking the leg does not seem to be effective. If the enemy's defense is too high, I will choose to attack the arm

Keep in mind that villages' inventories slowly refresh with time, so it may be worth going back to Driik or in villages you've already visited to see if they have interesting new things to buy.

I have visited driik 5 times. once a year. I just explored Kaumo again, but there is still no hunting horn. Should I buy all of their products?

The content of the picture is: Some people think that cows are used to block the entrance to avoid close combat by the enemy. But it can be done with a bonfire

I've never used bulls. They're lousy milk producers

 ;D

It can carry 4x forest reindeer, although two of them are small

The quest info talks about a period during which they're available. You're probably out of that season and have to wait for the next year.

I haven't successfully held this ceremony for a long time, whether it's spring, summer, autumn or winter. I don't know why.  need to make some sacrifices to ease it?

Too much is lost in translation...

- Leather/bull/tree trunk?
- Make "it" "disappear"?
- You can push logs onto big cows, and it may be possible to push whole tree trunks onto big bulls (I've never used bulls. They're lousy milk producers).
- I've never tried to take a log from a cow on the overworld map as I've seen no use for that. However, it may be that you get a message that it's too heavy and ask if you want to pull it off instead. If that's the case you can probably not push it on again. I've pushed my log onto my cow, zoomed out to the overworld map, walked to my homestead, zoomed in, walked to the building site, pulled the log off, zoomed out to the overworld map, gone to the logging area, entered and prepared the next log, pushed it onto the cow...

I put the trunk on the bull, exited my settlement, entered the world map, and then used shift+g to take out the trunk so that the trunk appeared on the world map. I can't think of how to make it disappear from the world map for the time being, because it can't move through m or p on the world map, I can't pick up it, and it will be too heavy. I can't use p to move it to the bull , because the world map cannot use p

I use the big bull cow to transport the tree trunk to the world map. I think this helps to make leather. I no longer need to enter the minimap frequently. But when I want it to disappear, I don't know how to make it disappear. I used the command to take the tree trunk from the cow, but I couldn’t use the command to put it back

I found my masterwork broad knife in a Reemilaiset village, and several hunting horns in Kaumolaiset villages. I think you can find masterwork items with good regularity within "rich" cultures (Driikilaiset, Sartolaiset, Koivulaiset and Reemilaiset), with Driik being the most likely.

Driik didn’t find it. Reemi found a fine broad knife, but there is still no masterpiece broad knife. The memory of sarto is a lot of crops. I have been looking for hunting horns in the north. I thought they had dogs, so hunting horns should appear, but nor. I will go to Kaumo again.

Gameplay questions / I can no longer summon the forest maids

I can no longer summon the forest maids. Is there anything that would cause the forest maids to no longer appear?

Regarding the task of finding lost items in the shelter, if it is a bear or a wolf, I will throw a piece of meat on the ground, one piece for each tile, and then check the footprints. Sometimes bad luck, birds will eat it, but in this way I completed several shelters looking for lost items. I usually find a wolf or a bear, kill it,  chase its tracks

Some silver jewellery will be consumed, some will not, I am not sure why. Occasionally he will tell where the animal is, but I don’t know how to find it

Re: Superior furs- Even though you may have 100% skill at hideworking and use a Masterwork Broad knife, there are multiple steps in processing furs that can fail and the skinning is only the first. When you have the good fortune to peel off a Superior skin, you should avoid working the skin further until you are fully rested.  If you're even a little bit tired, store the skin in a cellar until you've slept, before you take the next step. I always strip down my clothing/gear to the minimum when I'm working a Superior skin. The percentages for success are very low so minimize negatives when possible.

Re: Hunting Horn- I buy one with my guys. When I used to use my dogs for chase and hunting they would often go out of my hearing range when pursuing an animal. Now I keep dogs for protection and don't care to risk their loss or injury during hunting so my dogs only go out of sight when they are badly injured when fighting and flee.

Do horns work when dogs are out of shouting range? It's not possible to say because there's no feedback in game that one can attribute solely to the horn's use. I can say that since I've been carrying a horn I have not lost any dogs. Before I had horns I'd lost several dogs that just failed to return when called.

Do you remember which culture you bought your masterwork broad knife and hunting horn in?

As long as masterwork stuff goes, I had the most success with driikiläiset villages. For the hunting horn, I remember reading an old message from Sami. He says: "Hunting horns are really ancient items in the game, and their functionality hasn't been checked for a long time. They were intended to attract/scare animals, but it's uncertain how well it still works."

I have never seen a masterwork broad knife in this archive, I have never seen a hunting horn
