Hello,

I have a hopefully simple suggestion regarding hunting with bows/crossbows and perhaps even other thrown objects.

While hunting with bows and crossbows, it is rather irritating to have to try and find arrows that missed my prey and ended up being shot somewhere off-screen, as they are often impossible to find; they not only travel far and in a nearly random direction but they are also very difficult to spot if they end up hiding behind a tree in a forest.

Considering how it can be rather expensive to reacquire arrows that are lost, I am asking for some possible improvement to be made to allow players to more easily find their errant arrows.

I have two ideas in mind, but I'm sure other options exist:

Idea #1: Highlight the trajectory and/or the landing position of arrows so players can locate them more easily. While this may reduce realism, I feel that it is a necessary change.

Idea #2: Don't let arrows travel further than the current zoom level of the map.

I really hope that this suggestion will be seriously considered! Thank you!

Instead of limiting the feature to only open-water season, perhaps it could simply work so long as the particular tiles of water are not frozen?

Suggestions / Automatic Punt Deployment

Heya Sami and/or Erkka,

I have a suggestion regarding the use of punts in the wilderness map.

Whenever you use a punt, you have to first deploy it on the zoom map and then you can zoom out into the wilderness map. After that, if you happen to come into contact with land, you need to once again enter the zoom map, row to the shore, pick up the punt, and then you can go back to the wilderness map.

I find the aforementioned process to be incredibly tedious, especially when you need to cross a large distance on land--running into rivers in Driik territory is especially frustrating; manoeuvring the Islanders' region is also quite annoying.

My suggestion is as follows:

If someone has a punt in their inventory and a paddle equipped, the punt should automatically deploy if they attempt to walk off the shore and into the water. Likewise, if they are riding a punt, the punt should automatically be put back into their inventory (if they have space) if they attempt to row into a land mass. This should all happen regardless of whether the person is using the wilderness or zoom maps.

Ideally, this change could be toggled in the settings--I would greatly prefer that the player is not asked to confirm the action every time it is attempted. After all, the overall objective is mostly to allow one to quickly travel long distances by, for example, holding whatever button they use to walk/row forward.

Thank you for reading~

Suggestions / Auto-deploy Punt

I (among many others, I assume) would greatly appreciate a feature where, if you're carrying a punt and wielding a paddle, it would be automatically deployed when you attempt to cross/enter a body of water--especially in the wilderness map. It is very tiring to repeatedly zoom in, drop a punt, enter the water, and zoom back out to travel across a large body of water whilst traveling.

Thank you for considering
