I just caught 5 black grouse in the same area in the span of hours. Is this flocking behavior normal? I have never seen this before.

So in my current game I have been doing a lot of trapping and I am building up a big pile of bird leather. My only problem is that it is almost all harsh. I would like to make leather clothing for trade, but harsh leather is no good for making trade-worthy clothing.

My questions:
What is the best way to kill trapped birds to obtain fine leathers?
Is there profit from trapping birds for leather?
Is there another avenue of profit that I am overlooking from birds?

General Discussion / Taking on a Njerpez w/ a dog

I recently got brave enough to take on a Njerpez, easily won my first battle. I am well armored, green everywhere except face, and I am an expert with the spear. I fight by throwing javelins until my enemy is close and then using the northern spear. I was considering fighting another Njerpez, but he is accompanied by a dog. Are dogs difficult to fight? How much does the dog add to the average Njerpez's fighting chances? Thanks!

Hi, I am in my first year of trapping. I have had some success trapping fowl in small deadfall traps, but I would like to make trapping a major part of my income. I have been laying paw-board traps trying to get foxes. My strategy has been to put four traps around a piece of bait, in some cases I have a small deadfall trap with the bait. I put a set of four traps at each tile along this river. So far its been about a month and nothing caught. Do you have any advice for making this approach better?

Hi, I am new to this game. I was just wondering about animals stealing my food. Can animals steal food from a cellar? If so, what is the best way to prevent this? Is there an option for food preservation that you can put inside a wooden building!
