Not bugs / Wiki Issues

Not really a bug, but I wanted to post this here to make sure devs see it. All addresses under the /wiki/ directory return "A database query error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software."

Mod Releases / Faatal's Lightweight BAC fork v1.3 (BAC v082)

Faatal's Lightweight BAC fork v1.3 (BAC v082)

Introduction:
For the past months, I have been playing with a tweaked version of the excellent BAC mod. The BAC mod can be found here: https://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=4712.0. Although BAC mod is great, I had found it a bit extensive for my tastes and decided to scale parts down and add some minor tweaks of my own. These tweaks are mostly designed to remove components I either just never needed/wanted, as well as removing minorly anachronistic crafting recipes. Specific changes are too numerous to be described here and are instead described in the README.txt and README_CHANGES.txt files included in the mod. To be clear this mod was almost entirely developed by Brygun and the Community, all I have done is removed some recipes and modified some others. The one addition that I have made that is entirely absent from stock BAC is that I have added Privateer's woodstack mod v3.5. Also included in this mod is my hardtack mod which is packaged into BAC by default. I will try to keep this mod up to date with the latest BAC mod version. For (almost) every new BAC update there will be an update to this mod.

Thanks/Acknowledgments:
There is a fairly exhaustive list of contributors to the BAC mod, and therefore this one included in the BAC README's which are packaged with this mod. That said, a special thanks to Brygun.

Who Should Use This Mod:
Almost no one. It was and still is designed with exclusively my personal needs in mind. Please try out the stock BAC mod out before this one. The stock mod is fantastic. If you want to use my version I recommend reading through the changes I have made which can be found in the README_CHANGES.txt file. If these changes suit you, feel free to install and use the mod. To be clear this mod is not meant to compete with or replace the BAC mod in any way. The purpose of this mod is to cater to a very niche audience of myself and (perhaps) a few others.

Support:
All questions regarding mod mechanics and bugs should be directed towards Brygun, I did not write the BAC mod and am not intimately familiar with it's workings. Furthermore, all of the READMEs that come stock with the BAC mod are included for convenience in the "legacy BAC mod docs" folder.

Install Instructions:
Install information can be found in the included README.txt file.

Changelog:
v1.0 (BAC v047) - initial version
v1.1 (BAC v050) - updated to new BAC files, slightly tweaked some recipes, and removed some others, updated relevant README files.
v1.1 hotfix (BAC v050) - fixed a few errors.
v1.2 (BAC v050) - myriad small changes, an added graphic, removed some recipes that were made obsolete by my changes, BIY fixes.
v1.3 (BAC v082) - overhaul to new BAC version

Much love.

Gameplay questions / sacrificing
« on: October 15, 2018, 05:00:57 PM »
When I sacrifice too much to the spirits and get the "you feel unsteady" message, does this decrease the happiness of the spirits, or is it just where the cap is?

Not bugs / Extreme Slowdowns, still very much a problem :(
« on: March 25, 2018, 01:48:26 AM »
Howdy,

I am running urw 3.50 b2 on win 10. I have fairly cutting edge hardware. i5, nvidia 1070, etc. I am also running the steam version of the game. When zooming in and out of the terrain and world maps, the loading goes VERY slowly. There is also lag when fading in and out of sleep. Tasks take far to long to complete (cutting down a tree etc.). Alt- tabbing seems to have some sort of effect on the framerate. I am running several simple item mods of my own design as well as caethans mod. If you need any other info let me know.

Modding / @Privateer

Howdy,

I'm beginning a new play through, is there anyway we could get a reupload of your Mead Brewing, Fish Farm, and firewood stacking mods. It would not feel the same playing without them. I checked on the legacy forums but the links are all dead. As always I appreciate your work for the community.  :)

Mod Releases / Balanced Working Hardtack v1.8.0 by Faatal
« on: May 26, 2017, 10:55:59 PM »
Hi, I have always wanted good travel food ingame, so I drew this mod up. A single biscuit will fill you a little and is light, but they have low nutrition, I store them in my hunting and trapping camps overwinter so I dont have to fish and hunt for food when I get there.

CHANGELOG:

-Changed to ingredient dependent nutrition v1.1
I also intend to make more preserved foods on this thread.

-v1.2 for 3.32
changed cooking and prep time and reduced likelihood of tasty hardtack.
should be better now... sorry for the long wait (not that anyone cares, ive been busy with school and just lazy). Anyway, enjoy... feedback appreciated.

-v1.3 for 3.40 beta 3 I think
changed batch size, and therefore changed math of ingredients. (based on old civil war recipe)
tiny mod for now but I do want to expand it... maybe in a few months... Thats all for now, as always hope this mod can better your urw experience... feedback is welcome.  :D

-v1.4 for newest version lol
made the recipe a make a lil more sense, less weird numbers. as always feedback is welcome...

-v1.5 for 3.50 beta?
changed pot to bowl, who the hell makes dough in a pot lmao, also removed the [ground] modifier.

-v1.6 for 3.51
messed with the numbers some more, it cooks in batches of a dozen and the ingredient weights make more sense.

-v1.6.1 for 3.51
decided to mess with the timing some more, i think the mod as a whole is in a much better state than it was. also removed requirement for bowl to increase consistency with vanilla recipes.

-v1.7.0 for 3.5x
upped seasoning requirement to be consistent with the ratios found in vanilla flatbread. Also increased the penalty on the quality of hardtack made.

-v1.8.0 for 3.7x
Reworked ingredient requirements which were previously based on faulty math. Also raised cooking time significantly in accordance with reference recipe. This version is considerably more realistic.

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. This mod also uses the it-biscuit graphic from Bedlams Njerp cookery mod (which i recommend), it is attached as an image, just drag it into your base truetile folder. (you may need to rename the image "it-biscuit" without quotes of course).

2. Here is the code just paste it into your Cookery Glossary under baking:
Code: [Select]
.Hardtack. (12)    *COOKERY* /20/ \240\ %-10% |-1|
{Flour}     #2#   [remove] [roast] [name]
{Water}    #1#  [remove]
{Seasoning} #.6#  [remove] [roast] [optional]
[SPOILAGE_DAYS:0]
[WATER:0]
[TILEGFX:it-biscuit]
