14 arrows  - Arctic fox fur
45 arrows - Glutton fur
30 arrows - Wolf fur
25 arrows - Reindeer fur
50 arrows - Lynx fur
10 arrows - Fox fur
45 arrows - Bear
25 arrows - Elk fur

I am buying furs with my arrows and not winter furs.

Hmm, snake skin for decoration and making ordinary items very expensive.

I was hoping to find a recent fur price list. and found an excellent suggestion that I wanted to comment on -

But, it is too old. Now, you know why I called this meeting of the mnds. :)

I imagine spices and herbs will become big business for us adventureres who are just starting out. Then, we might move up to small furs or the finest sacred weapons from different tribes. And, packs of dogs to hunt, carry and guard (which I never found profitable - dogs eat too much).

Will there be different quality vaues for farmed produce? Superior Heirloom Turnips For Sale! Get them while they are hot!

Maybe it is time to make peace with the Njerpez and simultaneously discover a new most profitable source of income. Then, we could trade with the Njerpez and peacefully trade for what else they have to offer. How do they make the covetted lamellar, what is the secret?

I found my URW arrows 1.5 screens away from where I shot them. I do not shoot at what I can not see, so at the furthest range, I shoot from the middle of the screen to the outer edge of the screen. And, I try to get within half that range with my fine longbow and 90% skill because my goal is to hit what I am shooting at.

Elk are my most common target. Bear are much better for my DIY projects like clothing and food. And, Njerpez warriors will either make me rich or dead. We haven't decided which of the two yet.

That reminds me, I find Njerpez warriors far from their homeland and, when I go there, to their homeland, I see great places to hunt with lots of game and many trees in the forests and llots of coastline. So what motivates tehm to leave home and go all the way to Driik?

Merely saving the game, changing the file and reloading was not enough. I had to shutdown URW and reopen URW. The file size of wp-bharrow.png is 34x34 pixels. I looked for images of broadhead arrows online to alter the color of the resized image but decided to get a less detailed image. The result is laughable but effective.

The files in \truetile wp-(whatever arrow).png

That does not change the small, thin, dark line image of an arrow on the ground, it only changes the image in my inventory.

The standard fix is to color your arrows making them easier to find.
The files in \truetile wp-(whatever arrow).png

What color is "the standard fix"? That is, what color have people found most effective for finding lost arrows?

I agree with MrMotorhead, real arrows are difficult to find in the real world. But then, In the real world, I would never in my life be hunting large bears or people, but especially not skilled and well equipped warriors with my composite bow and broadhead arrows.

I saw an interesting documentary about how paper used to be made. It was a secret that China kept from the rest of the world for centuries.  The inner bark of a mulberry tree is soaked, cooked and pounded into a fine paste then strained and dried - much like the making of plant cordage.

Parchment was rare, very expensive and delicate compared to paper. Everyone in China read - instructions, made notes, communication.. Only the wealthy and scholars could read or write where parchment was used. Paper enabled advances in civilization, most notably when the Middle East captured the secret to making paper.

Linseed oil would also be a natural usage in URW. Flax seeds, linseed oil and linen come from the flax plant. Hemp makes superior food, animal fodder, clothing material, medicine. LOL what would we do without grocery stores, malls and now, online sto"res?! :)

I pray to the URW Gods on High for a spell and a device (divining rod) and an animal companion command (fetch) to retrieve arrows I shot that landed off in the distance. I love my broadhead arrows and it pains me to think of them lost and alone in the wild, orphaned from all that is good and kind.

and an animal, three "an" in a row

Bug reports / Re: 25 stones quest

I wonder if you gathered any stones from the village tile.  I bet those won't count toward the quest goal.  Try gathering a few more stones from tiles outside the village (lake shores and river banks seem pretty good) and try adding those to your pile.

That was it. Gathering branches in town is OK but not stones. I never noticed before.

Dropped 25 stones outside the south wall of the sauna. Talked to the quest guy. Not done yet? Hauled stoens inside. Not done yet? Got another stone to add to the pile. Not done yet?  Moved the 26 stones to another inside corner. Not done yet. What files do you want to see?

Stories / Never have I seen so much

? A wounded adventurer barely managed to crawl into town. I wandered into town shortly thereafter. One of the town shamans, Eidar, I think it was, said the adventurer needed help. Of course that was irresistable bait for my curiousity. The poor soul, was out gathering fire wood in the morning when he startled a bear, his limb looked like roughly ground meat. And all he wanted now was the northern spear handed down to him from father to son for generations. He said it was in a coniferous forest bordering a large body of water. And, he marked my map - over there somewhere. What could be easier? And, I could use bear meat to try smoking, now that I had built a fireplace in a cave and walled off the area with a door.

The whole north side of this large lake was "coniferous forest"! I looked but found no bear tracks. Then, I found bloodscape! At least I was in the right area. Hopefully. But, where was his camp? I found more bloodscape to the east. But, no camp. Then, finally, I found his camp... and his spear... and two roasted grouse breast and a wooden mug? That's all?! Well, I was not doing this for the other items left behind at his camp. Honestly, I wasn't! Who needs a masterwork longbow anyways?!! Certainly not this Owl tribe master archer.

So, I returned his heirloom northern spear to him. And he told me of a treasure buried in a cave in the far south-west Owl-tribe lands, even further away than his spear had been. Narutrally. I'd heard from others about tales of treasures like these: rarely something YOU would want, like a huge masterwork battleaxe and masterwork shield, only you are an archer. Yes, I'd heard about treasures like these before. But, I could go, look, take the items to someone / everyone, else and trade whatever I found for jewelry and arctic fox furs - portable wealth. OK, that would keep me busy, really busy, for a long time... I checked to see I still had a wooden shovel I made a while back: yes. So, off I went.

I looked for the cave in the area he marked on my map.. And practically fell in a cave while I was looking the other way! I went back out to get some branches to make a fire and make a torch. How would I find this "buried treaure" in a cave? Was this even the same cave that adventurer was reffering too? There was something over there, looked like an oddly colored ant nest, This treasure was not even buried! It was just a pile against the wall of the cave.

I need a travois! I need a sled.. pulled by solar=powered dogs!!

How far away are Driik and Reemi from here? Why oh why do the two biggest malls have to be at opposite ends of the earth?

If you've already seen an item in the game, you can search for it msglog.txt, which is in your character directory.

searching for the string salt:
Quote

    (000000):c4h9:[2]{03880609}      | 2 bags of salt

That is answer enough. It would be convenient to have that particual Masterwork Longbow (that I don't think I found yet) show up on the Map of Known Areas after I select that item or location from my msglog.txt. THAT kind of third party program would be amazing. Or, show on the map all the items of this kind or that kind that I found so far, like dried bear cuts being sold somewhere. Or, rapids. "If wishes were horses beggars would ride."

already found in the game. As I understand it, the places I have not been yet are crafted by Schrödinger, and nobody knows what the result will be until you walk into the village so see it.

I want to access a Linux program (Fedora 32 at this time) that tracks and filters items I find in game. I am specifically covetous of masterworks items and their locations. Is there such a thing?
