Gameplay questions / Training Trapping Skill

I have seen elsewhere on the forums that trapping can be raised by triggering traps (such as kicking via

• ) and resetting them. However, I haven't had much luck raising the skill at all with this method. What other methods are there besides cranking out new traps?

Thanks. I haven't encountered the same message I received when I initially received a gift. I've tried about 20 or so times in that same location.

PALU - So is it possible to receive a gift more than once? I have successfully summoned the forest maid numerous times since handing in the quest, but have never found another gift after the first one.

Gameplay questions / Bird Thief Trap Location

I need some help finding the bird thief location this time. I have searched and searched the quest circle to no avail. It's at the border location of coniferous forest area right next to heathland in the south.

Any ideas?
