Except face (light green) I had dark green for warmth. But it was raining outside when I've got the notice.

I had at one point a stash of cured furs, and since it was the start of winter I decided to work on them all at the same time.. I forgot how long it takes and how tired it makes you.. Basically 4 reindeer and 2 elk furs have gone to waste :(

I was wondering what are the conditions for getting influenza?

It only happened to me once- While I was trying to make a cultural tour around the map, some Seal tribe villager decided that he would like to arrive in Kaumo lands (in less than 14 days), and asked me to be his guide. Trek back from the mountainous area to the shore, where I left the raft, then paddle back to Driik lands, where at the entrance of the grand river there was my shelter, resupply and follow the river up into Koivula lands where I left the raft (poor guy pretty much swam all the way here, according to Titanic there's not enough space for two on the raft), and faced the harsh weather, and somewhere in Kiesse I've got influenza. A naked night in a sauna did not help in curing it and even made it a bit worse, but after a second visit to a sage and a night in a warm village cabin it was gone. In the end we managed to get to a Kaumo village on time (2 days left for the quest).. Oh, and when I wanted to return I realised that the river froze, so I had Rudolph the Big Reindeer carry it back :P

So almost two weeks of exhausting travelling in the Dead month (only sleeping when he couldn't properly stand up) might give you influenza, but a night in the sauna and one with 6 more people and one reindeer in the same room might heal it.

Gameplay questions / Re: Catching a glutton - advice?

Be careful to remember it if you place a trap over your cellar! I placed a big deadfall trap over mine. This was with an arguably rich character, the cellar had enough food to last for at least half a year. Also, there were two watch dogs nearby, protecting both the cellar and the two cows. (side question: Would carnivores still dare approach the cellar/animals with dogs nearby?)

But I digress. Recently, I came back to this character after not playing for months. I completely forgot that I placed a trap there, and even though I received a warning before moving on top of the cellar, I knew that it can't hurt me. Ended up with a serious fracture and some bad bruises.. Took two weeks of the best treatment to heal everything. The trap is now dismantled.  ;D

Moral of the story: traps can be dangerous when you forget where you placed them...

Gameplay questions / Re: Harvest field near village

What happens if you extend a field owned by a village? Will the new plots also be cultivated? Would collecting from those count as theft? Do villagers get angry in the first place for extending their field? I have almost no experience with agriculture, and none of my characters survived long enough/paid attention to the crops cycle near a particular village.

Gameplay questions / Re: Water Spirit

I have finished this quest in 3.40, and it worked out quite fast for me. Is it a single rock that you are sitting on? I finished the quest on a small lake. There was a 2 tile rock about 2 or 3 tiles away from the shore. If I remember it right I went to sleep naked on the rock early in the evening (late summer), and I was woken up by the nearby water spirit. He was around for a bit then disappeared, and I went and turned the quest in.
