Re: Who were "Njerpez" ? Well, the only real world culture that remotely behaves like the Nerjpezit are some of the Andamanian tribes of Andaman islands (in the Indian Ocean) that attack anyone entering their islands at sight, but they're probably xenophobic because of past experience with foreigners, and aren't invading others and attacking them. You might possibly make some connection between the Nerjps and some of the former extremely blood thirsty middle American cultures when it comes to warfare.
Regardless, as it currently stands, the Njerps are basically inhuman creatures that either attack or flee, but with which you can't have any peaceful interaction, little less than rabid dogs that have to be eliminated for your own protection. Personally I'd like if they were given a little human touch, with occasional non hostile interactions, and defeated Njerps pleading for mercy (and actually leaving, most of the time if show mercy [without returning with a whole war band the next year]).

Combat Options First and foremost, I am a new player and I am completely in love with UrW. This game is a treasure. My one suggestion is that perhaps in future there could be the addition of multiple game modes (i.e. a pacifistic mode where there are no human threats such as Njerpez or robbers, the 'standard' or original level of human v human combat in the base game, and potentially an even more hostile game mode where both Njerpez and robbers are more common, and consequently villages are more suspicious and less welcoming to the player until trust can be built).

In my opinion, other humans are the greatest threat the player faces, and it could be interesting to see a selection screen similar to the starting scenarios where we might be able to decide how much or little human combat we want to face in addition to the other dangers of the forest, and perhaps the ability to change between them later on.

What do you all think?

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest
There is nothiong on that tile but a dog, I checked it several times, and if you have looked well at the picture you would also have seen it. I really like people who just try to slap off something by a half-baked assertion or speculation.

Given there are 3 dogs of which 2 are partially or mostly covered by trees; we can’t know which of the 3 dogs is Xana. With limited information provided, the only recourse is to speculate or assume.  I.e. asking if there’s a spruce sapling behind the pine, the tile of the southernmost dog; there’s no offense, but hostility can be sensed on another post...

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest I can’t see through the pine, that’s masking the 2 closest dogs. Is there a spruce sapling behind it?

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest I daresay the solution to your puzzlement lies in the statement, "You fail to deliver a steady throw", not with the location of the dogs pictured.

Who can read has a clear advantage :)

Normally I  dont quote myself, but foryou I make an exception ;)

The point is that it doesn't matter where the dog is because you MISSED when you threw it. Next to the mentioned spruce is where it actually landed.

Re: [3.63] Ghost-Spruces in the forest Then why is it that you can put a list of people being hostile to you and I can't? Somebody tries to find a reason to your bug and you write "I don't want half-assed assumptions tossed around.". You don't need to write this way.

I don't know if this is really your intention or just the way you type, but it comes up very rude and hostile. I think you are the only person who put up a list of people being "hostile" to you in the forum. If it stinks everywhere you go, maybe check under your shoes... Just a tip.
