Re: "The Challenge"
Quote
I borrowed a fine axe in the village to make a wooden bowl so I can carry some water around with me

Wait, that's a thing you can do? I've always had villagers get angry with me if I'm holding something of theirs for too long, even if I haven't moved out of the village tile.

If you leave the axe on the ground and craft your wooden bowl on a nearby tile, they won't get angry and you still get to use the tool! ;)

Re: "The Challenge" Yeah, I justify it in my head like "if I don't pick it up then it signals to them that i'm not intending to steal it or buy it and i'm just asking them to borrow it" When I'm better off i can give them some food to thank them.

I've spent the next couple days constructing a tiny bit of fencing and a bird trap, which has caught a bird. i light a single slender tree trunk with 3 branches whenever i get cold, and it's pretty slow going with a stone knife and stone axe. i'm thinking of going back to the village to craft a bunch of wooden stakes there by their fire with their axe.

Re: [3.63] NPC hunters don't pick up their arrows.
Version: Unreal World 3.63, Linux/Steam build, unmodded

What happened: Set a small deadfall trap and went about my business. Came back to discover an animal had triggered the trap, but an NPC hunter had killed it (with arrows), and was in the process of skinning and butchering it. However the NPC hunter made no attempt to ever pick up the many arrows that he had shot and left lying around.

What's expected: Hunters pick up arrows they've shot, at least if they're nearby.

Steps to reproduce: Have not attempted to reproduce.

Notes: Not only did the hunter steal my kill, but after butchering the carcass he then set my trap on fire to roast the meat, so I didn't feel so bad about stealing his arrows. I've also come across hunters that weren't stealing my kills, and they don't collect their arrows either.

NPCs wisely picking up their shot arrows is simply not featured.
They may do it randomly, on occasion, but the actual mechanics are lacking. Not a bug per se, but just a feature not featured yet.

Re: Any way I can find the npc/ npc's body in wilderness? Another update.
This is Day 7 of 8th week before midwinter point, another year has passed since Armas went missing. A lot of efforts were spent during this year to find this missing adventurer, still can't found him but it is not entirely fruitless this year.

Early winter last year, I conducted a in-depth searching from my settlement to his village, using only zoom-in map to search for his trails around the area and searched a straight line between two places (Man, that's exhausting, 100+ tiles of zoom-in map walking is such a dumb idea, especially when most of the terrains are Spruce mires. No gonna try it again). The charming side of winter is creatures always left obvious trails on snow, however, Armas seems to be no longer in the area, no trails nor his body was found during the search.

After the fruitless search and the massacre (https://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=5762.0), I finally have some good news. Here I want to thank the helpful soul and powerful shaman @Teellox  who helped me to identify possible coordinates of Armas by communicating with the sprites (Thank you :D). According to the omen, Armas most likely located in the middle of the Seal-tribe territory. A Driikilaiset travel to the Seal-tribe territory! That is surely one of the most adventurous an adventurer would do. I spent months in the northern coast, travel along the seal-tribe land and did some crazy things with locals. The first time I ever ambushed a band of robbers! However, I never found any trails of Armas. Perhaps he wander to other places before I have a chance to catch up with him.

It's been many months later now since the last failing attempt of finding Armas. I started to doubt if I would ever see this adventurer again or does he even alive. However something inspiring just happened: I met Mikko in the wilderness! You might be confused, who's he? He's a Kaumolais adventurer and the most important thing is, I met him in the land of Kuikka-tribe. It's a really long way from the kaumo-land to where we met, I can't help but thinking if Armas is doing the same. Perhaps I should find some time, travel back to the northern coast again and see if I can find him this time. But I guess that's the story of the other time :P

Re: [3.63] Info for Mallard shows raven instead
I suspect what's happening is that if there's no info page for the target, then it sometimes shows the info page for a previous target. In all instances where I can remember, the info screen that is shown has been another animal that I've recently encountered.

Ahaa! This might be the reason indeed. Thanks for the tip, Teellox. I shall try it again.
