Re: What's Going On In Your Unreal World? Less of what's happening in my unreal world and more UrW happening in my world.

So my wife just gave birth to our first child on Monday. Through the process of the induction and waiting for her to dilate UrW has been there during the down times, at least for us there was plenty of hurry up and wait. UrW has been great with it ability to quickly save anytime. It's allows me to pick it up and put it down as needed to attend to my wife and babies needs. Thanks to all the UrW team for being my emotional support person.

Re: What's Going On In Your Unreal World? Popped up on a mountain top to look around 2 elk a njerp and one bear. Spoiled for choice. As it's a new character I'll go for red shirt, I need an axe.

Re: The dog did not protect my sheep I just tell my self that the critters are not as scared of people due low population density and lack exposure to our apex predator status, what with our strong jaws, sharp finger nails, tough hairy hides, keen sense of smell and hearing, and superior speed and strength what's not to fear.   ;)

Re: Creating Settlements As to a long term companion, I've made the suggestion before that sometimes a companion offers to travel indefinitely with you, with the randomly assigning must complete quests like I wish to travel and see my family where you must either travel with them, prat ways or possibly to meet up at a know village at such and such month. That what they would feel like friend, companion, and equal with there own needs and desires and less like an employee.

Re: Various questions from a new player Sorry if this has been answered I only skimmed the post. No you can not rehabilitate a njerp dog. I killed a njerp on an island and ran off the dog. Days later I tracked down the dog it was no longer agro to me but I was still unable to leash it. Also I believe if you look back  through the dev post Sami mentions that dogs owned by npc adventurers can not be rehabilitated.

Re: How far do you travel at start? I generally wander around reemi or dirk to start. Hoping from village to village looking for and marking supplies, better knives, axes, bows, dogs and bulls, dogs being top priority unless I lack a knife or axe. Fairly early I make some sort of cordage. First big game animal I kill I dry, smoke, and cook a little of it. But I don't wander more than a days walk from sort of shelter typically until i get back that first batch of preserved meat.
