Re: Burials of deceased people. Yes, you have to stay around for funeral pyres to actually incinerate the bodies, which is unfortunate.

Re: Pouring two identical containers together.
Another thing I'd like to see fixed. Why can't I barter my old knife/axe/whatever when trading for a better one?

I agree with this fully... Maybe I want to give him a replacement for the one that I'm taking from? ;D And it is -1 from their stock too, why don't they just accept it.
If you were to sell a good knife to someone, would you accept a worse one as part of the payment?

The NPC selling the item has a spare one that's not needed, so getting another unneeded one as a "replacement" isn't useful. NPCs aren't traders, but individuals who may have spare items that can be bartered away in exchange for things they have use for.

Re: Animal Movement Around Water - Yes and no... An animal can't leave an island if there's no way off of it. However, animals can spawn and despawn on islands, so there's no guarantee it will remain if you return later, but they tend to stay around for a fair while.
In the above, I've excluded the obvious cases of seals, beavers and birds.

- Currently animals can't handle water. However, I don't know if regular animals movement uses zoomed in or zoomed out movement when the PC isn't in the vicinity. I'm fairly sure they can't pass trap fences if there's no way around and they're too large to pass through (they can still spawn inside, though).

Show status effects on injury screen Currently there is no indication that the character is crippled apart from trying to perform some activity that's blocked or hampered by the effect. As the character heals the crippling effect goes away at some time, but the only way to find out when it has healed enough is to try something that would provide a message if it's still crippled on a daily basis.

It would be good if the injury screen showed which injuries cause crippling effects, or, list these under the injuries in the main list.

It would be an extra bonus if the game provided a message similar to the one telling you that an injury has healed fully when it's healed sufficiently for a cripple effect to be removed.

Re: Kotas for Northern tribes' overmap village tile If it's any consolation, it's quite hard to spot those villages with reasonably normal vision as well...

I think your suggestion is a good one both visually and thematically. The only problem I see is how to distinguish them from the kota sites that already exists (at least some bugged sites resulted in a kota image and just a single kota rather than a village, due to some problem with fitting the village to the terrain. I believe that bug has been fixed, though).

Re: Has persistence hunting been made more difficult? Weapons do get damaged by being blocked or you blocking with them, but I haven't seen any damage from other use (apart from the arrows already mentioned).

Re: Sometimes can't find the trap site... even it Heath Time for a second pass of all the legitimate tiles, then. I've had at least one case where I somehow missed the correct tile on the first pass.

Re: Fence as drying rack And you did that in Finnish summer weather rather than somewhere where the summer is actually mostly hot with a mostly clear sky?
Sure, there can be week long periods of sun and no rain, but they'll probably happen at times other than when you have a fresh kill...

Re: How do I hit someone It can also be noted that the chance to hit are modified by the character's encumbrance, fatigue, and injury penalties, and the resulting roll is then opposed by the opponent's dodge/parry roll. I've encountered enemies that were almost impossible to hit despite my character having very good effective skill. In at least one robber quest case I "wasted" turns to circle the enemy (engaged by hired muscle) in order to attack from behind (as Privateer suggested).

Re: Mercy for Elk mummy? Mummies that are moving about are generally deadly, evil threats, and so have to be eliminated. Babies are generally not forces of extreme evil :P

I would guess the calf is old enough to survive on its own, and you'll probably get enough meat from the adult to satisfy your needs, so I'd take the adult only (and hope to get the calf as a larger young elk next year).
