[Fixed - persists in 3.86] masterwoodtype item can't be used in next recipe
The first recipe produces a poor aspen pointed log. But the next recipe can't use this, it doesn't recognise it as a Pointed log. I first noticed this with another recipe but I wasn't sure if i'd messed something up or not, but it's happening again with this one, and this one is a more minimal example than that one was. This recipe worked in 3.85 without the <Aspen> and without the [masterwoodtype] parts. Code: [Select]

Re: [3.86b] masterwoodtype item can't be used in next recipe
If I change it to {*Half log} it'll work but the issue is that there's a further recipe for "Short quarter log" and if I use {*quarter log} in other recipes then that'll match short quarter log, which is undesired. So this is the part that doesn't seem to be working: Quote from: news.txt The wood type will be shown in the finished item name but its original name remains unchanged. For example, if we crafted "Wooden stake" which derived pine as its wood type it will be described as "Pine stake", but its original item name is still "Wooden stake". So we can use that item name {Wooden stake} as a material requirement in other crafting recipes, and can still derive the original wood type from there if need be. April 17, 2025, 10:10:50 AM |

Re: BAC 3.85
hi, i would be interested in fixing the BAC for the UW version but i haven't manage yet. i found out about the [masterwoodtype] but haven't manage to integrate. some of the menu not showing too not sure why. Menu not showing might be because of the new mod sub-menu that was implemented with the latest 3.86 release. I'd imagine all mods would have to go in there somehow. Haven't had the chance to try it out though..

Re: BAC 3.85
ite'ms created with masterwoodtype don't work as ingredients for further items, i opened a bug report about it: http://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=7483.0 McKwach, the change for that is pretty easy, the files just need to be renamed, both the diy ones and the menudef one): mod_diy_BAC_Carpentry.txt mod_diy_BAC_Earthenware.txt mod_diy_BAC_Lumber.txt mod_diy_BAC_Metalworking.txt mod_diy_BAC_Mining_and_Iron.txt mod_diy_BAC_Toolmaking.txt mod_diy_BAC_Transport.txt mod_diy_BAC_Utility.txt mod_menudef_BAC.txt etc also the vanilla recipes should be removed from the files because otherwise there's one recipe without the new vanilla functionality and one recipe with the same name with the old functionality and it can be confusing, but it'll work without that April 21, 2025, 08:53:10 AM |
