Title: Roasting turnips
Post by: Brygun on January 06, 2021, 11:29:39 PM
Having seen the survivor feast video I had a thought...

Hmmm....

Can we roast turnips in the game? Maybe it dries them so lower weight but same nutrition while a better taste. So overall you can better push up your nutrition.

Roasting on flames: no

But burying turnips:
1) in hot ashes and embers
Or
2) in the ground first, then burning fire for whatever purposes

Both have been used in yore.

Now with fire mechanics change and us having hot embers: yes please, let us break the monotony of plain turnips in stews and soups.

As for weight reduction, some. But nowhere near the same weight reduction as drying meat.

My thoughts exactly, after the recent cooking of the ember-roasted turnips.
We can't do it yet, but soon we will as I've been working on the said cooking method lately.
I'll post news about it when there's enouhg progress.
