The birch bark pot can hold 1kg as far as I saw. So it is not possible to cook a single portion of fish soup with this pot, since the recipe wants 0.5 kg of fish 0.7 kg of water 0.2 kg of vegetables. (Side note, this is displayed as "0.5 kg lbs of raw or salted fish" etc). I only tested fish but meat is probably the same.
PS I posted some other experiences here (not really bugs just some things I noticed that may help to tweak or balance things): https://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=7479.0

I believe I've been thinking it's not that necessary/practical to prepare such a minuscule portions of fish soup as boiling fish and meat alone is still possible in birch-bark pot.
But yes, it's probably best and doesn't make any harm if we adjust the single portion sizes of these recipes so that they become cookable in birch-bark pots too.

Just a thought..
Instead of adjusting the single portion size of the recipe to fit into one birch-bark pot, would it be possible to make it the other way around? i.e. could the single portion size be split and cooked using two birch-bark pots (or however many needed to cook 1 portion), if I have 2 pots? Since crafting as many birch-bark pots as there are birch trees is way easier than buying even 1 iron pot.
Does that make sense?

This has been adjusted so that fish and meat soup are now cooked in portions amounts from 1 to 3, so that one portion still fits in the birch-bark pot.
