Gmornin,
I've got the first version of BAC 3.85 right here :)

V1.0:
 - updated vanilla items to 3.85 standards
 - commented out woven boating frame and the birch bark canoe to make space for vanilla netmaking and net mending.
v1.1
 - Fixed Woolen sleeved dress failing to craft and consuming materials.


Regarding the birch bark canoe: Most of these recipes look like they would break the UI with the number of items required, so it is shelved for now. But if you love building and using these, let me know. For now, just comment them in and comment something else out if you need to.

As always, let me know when you find bugs or issues. I check back here occasionally, but I am on the discord server too. Cheers!

Hello everyone. Coming back to the game after a long hiatus.

As always, BAC is a must on my games, but I found myself overwhelmed on the quantity of items added at this point, so I was thinking: what about having culture specific versions of the mod? I.e. one for northern cultures, without metal armours, swords nor crossbows, but being the only ones with the ability to make "Northern" weapons.

I've been interested in cleaning up and slimming it down at some point, but there's not enough time right now. You're welcome to make a version for your favourite culture :)

New bugfix is out!
Woolen dress with sleeves was bugged, not crafting but consuming materials. Fixed that :)

Not a must, but may I suggest you modify the Topic's title whenever unreal world updates instead of having multiple different topics? :D

Tall Roll of Birch Bark recipe broken?

Hello guys, coming back from a long Hyatus from the game, and still impressed on the continued effort in the game dev (both by the creators and community),

Usually I depend on tall roll of birch bark to gather tanning material for tanning after long hunting trips.
I've tried to make the item on the Lumber menu.. without success despite felling a birch tree... when I select the recipe it prompt me on my inventory for a "you need a tree trunk please choose what was a fresh birch"... strange cause I have a recently felled birch tree and its trunk lay besides me... (no success trying to grab the trunk due to its weight.. doesn't work by staying over it also)

Tried tinkering on the game files.. opened diy-BAC-Lumber.. found the recipe.. nothing unusual on it by my experience
Tried changing the recipe to not require a tree trunk.. using notepad ++... saved the file.. reloaded the game... but the recipe on still prompt me needing the same material despite my edit.

Am I dumb? heheheheh Long hyatus induced amnesia on me perhaps...

Any suggestions for other ways on getting tanning material? I could use another approach other than uring the tall roll...

hi, i would be interested in fixing the BAC for the UW version but i haven't manage yet. i found out about the [masterwoodtype] but haven't manage to integrate. some of the  menu not showing too not sure why.
any help would be appreciated

Menu not showing might be because of the new mod sub-menu that was implemented with the latest 3.86 release. I'd imagine all mods would have to go in there somehow. Haven't had the chance to try it out though..  :(

ite'ms created with masterwoodtype don't work as ingredients for further items, i opened a bug report about it: http://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=7483.0

McKwach, the change for that is pretty easy, the files just need to be renamed, both the diy ones and the menudef one):

mod_diy_BAC_Mining_and_Iron.txt

also the vanilla recipes should be removed from the files because otherwise there's one recipe without the new vanilla functionality and one recipe with the same name with the old functionality and it can be confusing, but it'll work without that

Thanks Plotinus. Will try to rename the mod files when I have the chance. :)

Planned to work on 1 file at a time, so I could remove the vanilla recipes from the mod files while I'm at it.

i have fix the menu and the repetition of the vanilla but i have a issue. The vanilla part of the recipes is at the end of it instead of being at the start of the menu. The modded part always come first. Is there a way to put the vanilla recipes part first?
