In my previous character I have accidentally set fire to my masterwork northern bow using my fine arrows as kindling :'( to prevent a similar situation I'd like to make a couple of suggestions: not being able to use arrows as kindling or to add a check similar to the one that prevents butchering before skinning, and to remove the possibility of setting fires out of sight.

Sensible.

I'm baffled! Did you stack the bow with the arrows you used for a fire?

Yes, I dropped all my items in a pile before starting a heavy task and accidentally pressed F instead of G.

And for a change, you started a fire on the FIRST TRY, right? Wow! I've dropped everything a thousand times. Kind of scary thinking a simple mistake could have wiped out so many prized items.

I've done it a number of times inside my workshop... Killing/save scumming has worked, fortunately, and I regularly make backups in case things get corrupted. For some reason I've managed to avoid doing that for a rather long time now, though.

I found I've had to light arrows on fire though, to prevent myself from freezing to death.

This is why it's good they're valid kindling. Though maybe a confirmation for using crafted items would be worthwhile.
