Any plan for a cross platform version? (Linux)
This is probably possible with mono, but I'd have to do my research on it as I've never used it, and probably learn a bit of linux which I'm not too familiar with. So probably not in the near future, at least by me. I might dabble in it at some point, since you asked, but no promises ;)
Feedback : Fatigue option does not work for me :-\
And I really like the thing about Tribe name. I named my character Hakon the Bastard!
When you add inventory editor, could you make item editor too?
For example, making masterwork Northern bow adding prefix
Some items have no masterwork or rough quality? I spawned leather shirts and I found that they have no masterwork or fine level of item, even I insert every item codes listed below.
Hi. Thanks for your work. But can you tell me how to use it? It always says "Unreal World has been updated." or "UrW wasn't detected. closing menu".
I'm using 3.61 stable (steam). Tried both file in the attachments.

Hi! Sorry about that, seems I overlooked a bug in code, I went ahead and commented out version checking for now and re-uploaded, let me know if you have anymore issues!
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. It opens, detects my character immediately (fantastic!) and I give myself the shovel that I know I had and definitely didn't sell but can't find anymore...
And then I close the program, load up my character, and... nothing changed. I don't have the shovel.
So, erm... how do you actually save the changes you make in this? I don't see a save button. I see a tickbox, but ticking it doesn't change the result. Also, when I click "Open Item ID List" it just tells me "Items not saved to file."
I really need that shovel. :(
---
Edit: Oh I see, you have to actually have the game and program open at the same time. Usually with these things you have to close out first. That's what I was doing wrong. I got my shovel back! :D Thank you for making this, Night!
Bug report. Teleport doesn't work. Testing it, trying to teleport to saved Home01, both from the map and zoomed in: https://prnt.sc/qsnjhr
It says Teleport complete, Waypoint does not exist. https://prnt.sc/qsnk4g
But, waypoint exists: https://prnt.sc/qsnkar
Here is what I use to try to teleport: https://prnt.sc/qsnkpk /tp Home01
What can I do? Thank you
Thank you very much for making this. Being able to easily increase my skills is very nice. What does the "scrape" button in the inventory tab do though?
The button refreshes your list of items on the right side of your inventory editor tab, just makes it so you can see any new items that have been added during play time.
Thinking about it now i should probably rename it to "Refresh".

Is this feature working right now? Whenever I have a new item in my inventory, the editor throws an error labeled "The given key was not present in the dictionary." When I restart the editor it seems to find the list correctly.
Is there any way to make it so you can do the game courses over again? I'd like to go through Advanced Adventures a second time
Suggestion. Injury remover. Cheers ;D
It worked great, but only first time I used it.
Then:
Loading saved character - nothing, not detecting character
Making new character - nothing, not detecting character.
I'm using Steam (3.61) version.

Or maybe an injury editor. Sometimes, I want a difficult start with more injuries than Hurt, Helpless and Afraid gives. Thanks and awesome work, so far.
Thank you! :D
EDIT: I gave it a try, and I'm getting an error when I start the editor:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '254' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'.
Parameter name: SelectedIndex
at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.set_SelectedIndex(Int32 value)
I'm using a fresh install of the free 3.61 version of the game. I'm not sure if there's any difference between the free and Steam versions, and if that could be causing an error.
This is awesome! Thank you.
I tried to use 1.0.2 to edit my character stats during creation (before skill allocation) as I had with 1.0.1c earlier. But, it caused a crash later in character creation right before I spawned in (after I chose the course). The problem may be related to my character's surname; the Driik have a special character in their tribal name which was mangled when read by the CharacterMenu app and then re-mangled when written.
Hey Night, I was just curious: how did you make the X-ray vision option? Was there already something in the game that let you toggle it, or did you have to script it somehow?
@marginoferror figured out the problem with improper formatting, still not sure why you crashed though. I will replicate your other steps and see what i come up with
Night,
Wanted to write you and thank you for this great mod/tool. I am excited for the Item Editor, because (I feel) some of the game objects are too heavy. ;)
thanks for the great software, cant wait to have to npc spawner ;p
FWIW I have not seen such a crash since, and it's even possible that this instance was unrelated to your utility.
Hey Night, just wanted to see if you had any progress updates.
Hi night, thank you for sharing your program with us.

Looks to be related to the injury editor. If you get the chance, a screenshot of your injuries screen might be useful (if you have any).
Just downloaded the update, and now I'm getting an error message, and the program doesn't detect my character.
...
Thank you so much for your work. :D
where is the download link? I couldnt find it :-\

While the update was fairly minimal, looks like URWCharacterMenu doesn't want to run on UrW 3.63. Eagerly waiting on the updated version!
Thanks in advance!
I didn't see it in your planned features - but would you consider a Rituals editor (adding/removing Rituals) or is that outside the scope of what you can/want to do? I've often wanted to play around with them but earning them is slow, and the starting ones are always a gamble.

Kinda confused on how the inventory screen works. Do you have a tutorial?
Unhandled exception error, this time after firing up URWCharacterMenu and trying to select a row in the inventory tab. Some item IDs are showing as being above 60000 and I think it doesn't like that. I can "continue" from there and not quit the program, but I'm effectively locked out of modifying stuff that appears as having an ID above 60000. Any news on an update for 3.7.0, I tried to see if the current version of the mod works with the beta, and no dice. :'(Workaround: you can create the character in v.3.63 and then upgrade to v.3.70 to play that char.

Workaround: you can create the character in v.3.63 and then upgrade to v.3.70 to play that char.
I assume the solution is to uninstall 3.70, reinstall 3.63, make the character, then uninstall 3.63 and reinstall 3.70 again. I think I am correct in saying that as long as I back up my character folders before doing this, I should be able to go back to 3.70 without any problems. Can anyone confirm this? I would be gutted if it messed up the characters I am already playing.
<snip>You are right, Steam will not let you have two version of the same application but luckily for you Steam does not control your computer and you do :)
Not so simple if you're using the Steam version; it won't let me download 3.63 because it knows I already did that, even though I subsequently installed the 3.70 Beta-3. URW is the first game I have played via Steam so if there is a way to have dual installations that I have failed to spot, then I would be happy to hear it!
<snip>
As (if, for other subscribers) you’ve bought the Steam version of the game, you can contact Sami/Erkka for “Lifetime supporter” status on this forum. Then simply download the standalone version you need. And keep your Steam setup as is.I might do that as well. How early the standalone versions go? I would like to have some retro URW experience. ;D

If you need some help. I can try to learn the basics and provide some assistance.
When I can, is probably the best answer I can give you for an update.
I've been thinking about that answer for about 30 minutes now so, hopefully that's better than a dishonest response or nothing at all lol. I've just got a lot on my mind. Updating the addresses isn't a very hard task to do, I just want to do more than that, and I don't know when I'll have the stroke of motivation to do what I want to do with this project. Maybe soon, maybe not. I've been working on implementing containers into the URWME project, still have some loose ends to tie up on that but maybe after I get that functioning I can return to working on a superior version of this.
I may end up updating the addresses before that, but, I don't know. I was also hoping to do it after stable release, but yea. We'll see. I appreciate the support, it has definitely helped along the way.
Also, neat workaround by ineedcords there, for some functionality.
If you need some help. I can try to learn the basics and provide some assistance.
It looks like a checksum verification was added and changing values to a certain amount gives you constant error messages when zooming in and out. I've been playing around with this and it happens using URWCharacterMenu or if I change things manually with Cheat Engine. For instance, setting all of your stats to 18 will cause it, but setting one back to 17 will get rid of it. Similarly for skills, setting them all to 100 will cause it, but setting half of them to 90 fixes it. I haven't played since earlier this year, so it may not be introduced with 3.70, but I've never run into it before and I didn't see much with googling it.
Someone can share the 3.63 version pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee :o
3.71 is a small patch but it seems to be not compatible anymore. It refuses to open now stating mismatched versions, unless I am doing something wrong?
Someone can share the 3.63 version pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee :o
Totally forgot I have previous versions archived, I went ahead and put 3.63 steam version as an attachment, but it should work on the standalone (i think) @Atarantir

"InvalidArgument=Value of '7' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'"
If I ignore it and proceed, the game says the character files has been corrupted.
Its a bug with one of the combo box's not having an index for some of the new ranges for values in the old physique and phobia addresses. If you use it on a different character, it should work. I started porting this over to URWME, been gaming alot with friends so havent done much coding recently. Eventually I'll get around to updating/releasing my new stuff.
Hey,
Is this mod still in development? Does it work with current Unreal World? When I downloaded it, it gives me an error message when trying to run it. When I do run it and try to add an item to my characters inventory, it just randomly adds an item, not the one I selected. Is this supposed to happen, or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
When I used this program an injury of my character turned into a permanent "vague ailment" which I'm not able to heal in-game, nor remove with the program because it keeps giving error messages whenever I mouse over it. :-[
I can confirm your screenshot is correct and it cannot be resized.
Best option to contact Night is on discord, though I think he has moved onto other things now, he was most helpful to me a few months ago.
