Fishing bait - Worms, guts, and groundbait Great game, brutally rewarding.

I would imagine this is planned but if not,  digging for worms or reaching into trees for grubs etc. for bait would be much appreciated. Similarly using guts from butchery would be another realistic suggestion to improve the hunter-gatherer symbiosis.

Another potentially interesting addition would be the option to throw groundbait into fishing water. Pushing offcuts or specifically crafted bait into the water would increase likelihood of catching specific fish for a certain time, likely limited by type of groundbait and type of water.

Again, a great game, excited to see where it goes.

Unreal World in the Media Hi

Last week Nov 17th 2021 Nookrium (129K subscribers) made a video about Unreal World on his YouTube channel, which already has some 6K views and favourable thumbs up, as expected. Below is the link for your enjoyment.

UnReal World - (Open World Wilderness Survival Sandbox) 2h15m video

Only the link above has "news" value, being about a week old but I might add newer videos here as I discover them, or older ones as time permits...
There is probably value to add here even previously posted stuff, best ones, just to list all good media together, particularly for people who recently discovered the game and are hungry for more content.
To help, feel free to reply to this thread to add Unreal World media links you would like to share, 3rd party or even your own content.

These two playlists below, both are from 2020 and from relatively small channels - I found them very enjoyable and they are "long playlists" which is rare to find for this game.
Links below in case you haven't seen them yet.

20220424 addition: It appears on Jan 16th 2022, Retromation (155K subscribers) made a video about Unreal World on his YouTube channel, which already has some ~24K views and many thumbs up, as expected. Here is the link for your enjoyment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CKQEbsJxNk

Re: How long can i keep seeds? As far as I am aware there is no lifetime limit to the viability of seeds, normally you would harvest them one year and plant them in the spring next year. The only important thing is to plant them soon enough so they can mature for harvest before autumn frosts cause them to wither and die.

Re: How long can i keep seeds? As mentioned, UrW seeds do not expire.

It can also be noted that autumn planting works in UrW, and as far as I've seen it works with all plants, not only those that are typically considered suitable for that usage (such as e.g. rye). Autumn planting means that you plant your crops in the autumn while the soil is still warm enough, have the plants germinate and grow, then have the above ground parts wither and die as the cold sets in. In spring these plants then have a head start and matures faster than spring planted crops (they basically start to grow immediately, even if the soil is too cold for planting).

Re: [Spoilers] Forest Cow Quest In my experience this quest is for masochists, or those who have completely run out of things to do.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful than that.

Re: [Spoilers?] Bird Thief Quest question If you did the ritual correctly you shouldn't have to redo it, but I would expect that you could reuse them if it came to that.

As far as I have seen, there are typically two snare locations in the trap tile, so there might be additional feathers to pick up if needed (and another snare), which is what I would look for in case of a new attempt.

It can be noted that it can take a surprisingly long time for the ritual to actually advance things (5 or so days, at a guess), so patience may be needed.

It can also be noted that you've already passed the tedious parts of the quest at this point (managing to get the old bugger to talk about the ritual and finding the trap location).

Re: [Spoilers?] Bird Thief Quest question My experience is that it's bad for you to reveal yourself, so I've refrained from doing that. As far as I can tell, all that happens is that the perpetrator gets a low esteem of you, but there's no indication anything else happens, so just keeping it vague seems to be better.

One might have hoped that the perpetrator would have seen it as a lesson to be learnt from, but he acts like most criminals, i.e. blames those catching them rather than their own behavior. Thus, he acts in a realistic manner.
