Rye is a crop that can be planted, harvested, and eventually ground into flour. The flour can be used to make flatbread and as an ingredient in other recipes.

Notice that rye's growing time is almost as long as its growing period, i.e. it starts withering only a few days after it's fully grown if planted the very first day of Seedtime (May). If it's fully grown before the withering starts, it can still be harvested though. Thus it is advised to plant rye even before Seedtime begins.

Like with barley, it's possible to plant rye in autumn (Dirt and possibly Fall) and it will then sprout in Seedtime
