You can not mod new rituals in the game, nor change their effect. However, their text are found in text files in your urw directory, which can be changed :

NSAFE.RIT - Safety of the Night
SLEEPP.RIT - Permission to Sleep

FTRAP.RIT - Favourableness of the Trap
LOST.RIT - not in the game anymore
