Torches can be crafted from 10 Branches using the timbercraft skill. This process requires no tools. They can be useful in cave exploration. Making torches does not improve your Timbercraft skill.
To light a torch, stand next to a fire and [a]pply it. A torch may be put out by [a]pplying it while it is lit. This does not destroy the torch, so it can be reused. A torch weighs 1 lb.
Lit torches can neither be dropped nor thrown. Torches last a little more than four hours.
