Be it birds or hares you are after, the loop snares you are about to use are made favorable by leaving them in an ant nest for three nights, and only then picked up and set for a catch.
Loop snare preparations is a type of spell that increases the chances of successfully ensnaring pray with loop snares. This spell can presumably be combined with similar spell used especially when setting snares for hares.
Ant nests can be easily found in heathland and several other types of forest terrain.
