Previously it would be possible to create fine or superior blunt arrows with sufficient crafting skill. Since the arrows makeover, a highly skilled crafter gets the "You could have done better, but you can't make good out of bad" message when crafting blunt arrows, and all are standard quality. I presume this is because all slender tree trunks are of the same "standard" quality. Consider reinstating the ability to make fine/superior blunt arrows, or at a minimum removing that message.

For the sake of comparison, this is the pre-v3.80 recipe:

And here's the recipe after the arrowheads update:

The main difference is the lack of [noquality] tag, but this is offset by a +15% bonus to crafting quality.
Of course, you may add the tag to the diy_glossary.txt file in your game directory.

Now I've noticed there's an error in the recipe header: |0] (intended to be a 0 skill-up bonus but it's not properly enclosed in pipes)

I noticed same when 3.72? With fletching change came out.
I updated the blunt arrow recipe to use wooden stakes. They can be made higher quality than slender trunk without [noquality] allows and is less wasteful; making 1 blunt to pass some time wastes 40lbs of wood.

Yep, there's some tweaking to do for the blunt arrows. It came out in a bit of under construction phase.
As Galgana advised [noquality] tag for the wood material allows quality blun arrows again, and we'll fix that in place for the next patch.
Arrowmaking is going to be pausable task in the next version, so the crafting time is likely to increase also.
Crafting a working blunt arrow from relatively thick one piece of wood with only cutting tools can be actually quite demanding and time consuming.
To make a fine one, is even more demanding - so mere 45 minutes is serious underestimation.

This will be fixed/adjusted in the next batch so that the blunt arrows will be prone to quality modifiers again.

Fixed - persists in 3.82.
