3.50: I took up a wounded adventurer quest in the morning and was lucky enough to find the shelter by the afternoon. However, both sets of smoked meat that were there were spoiled, which I don't think is supposed to happen. I destroyed the garbage (literally) immediately, so it's no longer available for examination.

It doesn't matter for my character, as abundant food is available, but I report it as it's odd.

The date is day 5 of the 5:th week before "midsummer" point, if timing might be involved.

Smoked meat doesn't last forever, if I recall correctly it stays good maybe for few months... (I can check it later)
So in that sense this is something that can happen and not a bug per se. But still something that triggers curiosity, so..to verify if there's been something hasty with item generation could you find msglog entry which shows the possible other items that were there?

:

Apart from a bugged case where everything on a raft went from good to spoiled over night (literally) and some things were morphed into others a fair while back, I haven't had either smoked or dried food go bad. I store everything not needed (such as on a trip) in a cellar. In at least some cases new smoked/dried meat stacks with items already in the cellar (that were older than the latest smoking drying batch, as it can take a number of days from start to finish of setting it up, and thus the corresponding time to collect it).
