If done throw in some sort of fish trap as well.

True I absolutely can see a kick of opportunity. The scenario I saw in my head was an opponent trying to kick a standing target. Like so many things it comes down to skills. Is one opponent a talented at unarmed and the other making poor decisions like bending down and overextending

Why would a predator screech at prey and alert it. No death from above flies on silent wings

I kinda agree with the OP on the kicking in head thing unless there is a secret Foot of the North Star dojo in Finland I tink it's highly improbable to get KICKED in the head when your standing. That's a lot of distance to cover, pretty easy to counter by just shoving the guy with your shield. Maybe add inability to kick above waist or chest high or not unless you have a very high unarmored skill

Perhaps a personality traits? timid vrs bold. I've met many a dog who struggled with concept that he wasn't 10 foot tall and bullet proof. My current dog a 90lb mutt with let's call it healthly padding has zero fear of something the size of a north American elk, as attested to the by the fact that she wants to bark and them when we go to my friend's elk farm.

Also noadi's is safe to eat but has some unusual side effects especially if you eat one save your game and forgot that you ate it when you set out hunt when you start playing the next day.

If no more lighted interiors please add a lamp or candle like item so cave dwellers don't have to always have a lit torch.

Also the ability build ceiling but no floor for those of us who like indoor cellars.

Bug reports / Re: Graphic glitch, underground cave wall

Hijacking this a bit. Another, but rare cave issue. I was exploring a cave and about 40% was closed off and inaccessible. When I tried to leave there was to much activity. I check there area again and I hear a swear from a njerp. I am assuming he was spawned in the inaccessible portion of the cave.

Bug reports / Re: Unfortunate hunting trip culture shift
« on: March 31, 2020, 11:32:43 PM »
Been like like for a while. My guess it something to due with procedural generation. I.e. I need a dead hunter so the game checks what culture area you are in and assigns it automatically to Npc generated. I doubt the game has a way to assign a relationship with the PC to an NPC.

Gameplay questions / Re: Various questions from a new player

The game switches between days in the morning. It is not a rolling clock. For example if you kill an elk around noon and fox during the small hours even though morning is only a couple hours away once morning rolls around everything advances by a day and game would consider both kills to be the same freshness. I don't know if you may have lost a day due to the time when the hide finished.

Gameplay questions / Re: Questions about companions
« on: March 31, 2020, 10:51:15 PM »
It was an older version right before spells over haul but a companion equiped the masterwork woodsmen axe I gave him for felling trees during an encounter with a bear and I could not regain it from him afterwards. On a side note Tapio wrecked that bears world. I told him to attack he came up from behind and nearly took it's leg off bam unable to walk second strike was to the neck and ended the fight

Suggestions / Re: Domestic Reindeer Milking
« on: March 28, 2020, 01:50:23 PM »
No arguments about production complaints but no animals naturally give milk without a baby. Same goes for cows and sheep. Its just those have been bred/selected to produce much more milk than need for longer periods that are extended by the act of milking.

Sorry needed to Farmsplain for any city folk out there who thought milk came from cartons
