Re: Withering flowers in Fallow? In the version 3.51 stable this case is still there. I did some screenshots. The migration of the character was probably not the reason for it. This thime the caracter started in 3.51 stable and is still there without any migration.

I also recognized it in/from fallow month when the character reached one year+ of age in the game. I see there around a selltement that Nettle, Burdock, Milkweed, Bilberry and even Lingonberry are ripe. Meanwhile in one area, east of a settlement where Lingonberry is ripe the milkweeds are ok and still growing. Also in a field the Beans, Rye and Barley are growing and ok. Its mixed.

Traditional Lyrics for tradinonal topic game As the game based on history and tradition there need to be some lyric support for it. Let me begin with the people from the east who are in the game the enemy and bring some acknowledgement to their cultures. As you see the hero in the video is wearing red and a lamellar cuirass.

361 Three gamaply questions. Harvesting Bark.

If in nature a tree is not too much hurt, it reproduces bark. Must confess i dont know how slow that works, but mabye it takes years. I recognized that in the next spring the trees around the shack show up as still already harvested (from last year). How is it in the game, will they offer bark again?

Spirit of the water.

When i see that the Spirit of the forest always is always happy, the Spirit of the water always hates me like nothing. I cant really find out the reason for that. Most of the meat in both cases would be sold to villages anyway; there is no real difference. Is fishing counted worse than hunting or does it depend on something else?

Smoking.

Whats the smallest building for smoking? Can it be done in a tent (with only one tile space inside and a fire in front/entrance)?

Re: A "get lost!" button?
[...]What I would want is a function to challenge others into some kind of duel, preferably unarmed (which also makes this skill finally useful?) to avoid either of the sides get into life-threatening situation. It's like you being the robber - Engage in conversation, if npc denied the demand, a fight begin and the winner can throw the loser's unconscious body to several kms away.

> The skill is useful already. In hunting and fighting an archer combines it with the bow when he does not need to unwield the bow. Kicking is a serious attack of blunt type even more of a 100 kilo guy hits the opponents legs at the right point.

> You want some wild guy in the no mans land/wildernes to do what YOU want to his disadvantage?  ;D You want a button to force him to fight you without weapon? Isnt that a bit too unrealistic? He asks you to put down your weapon first  ;D Or he apologizes and comes back with ten of his friends next day.

> How do you think you can claim the wilderness where is no mans land as your territory?

> Any change is work for the Admins. Here think about whats important and whats unimportant.

No, skyleaf, please please forget that :)

Re: [Spoilers] Which bow is best? Aiming to resolve confusion around bows Velocity depends mainly on draw weight.

For a higher draw weight the archer needs to be stronger (and more experienced).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penelope

That a longer bow increases accuracy but makes the action/agility slightly slower was mentioned, as some other things and what I read was correct.

When the "Hunting Bow" is called like that, it may be possible that it does not have a high draw weight as a war bow, as animals wear no armor. Lower I expect the handling to be slightly faster als for a strong guy.

This is when I expect that a hunting bow is easier to handle for an adventurer with lower strength.

Maybe it is set in the game as the programmer is a bow freak, even if draw weight not visible for the player in action.
This description I count as quite nice:
http://bogen.online/wie-stark-soll-der-bogen-sein-so-findest-du-als-anfaenger-dein-zuggewicht/
https://translate.google.com/

This is when a long bow could have 50 pounds draw weight and also 100 pounds draw weight. But how it is implemented in the game I dont know.

Re: Bushcraft youtubers Amazing videos by koteko and Brygun. Let me add some aspects:

Fresh water

As I see there was enough rain. If not, in this vidoe the person knows what to do to get fresh water:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf4JrsqlIkU

Also very interesting is, that small wounds can turn into something, what would have been dangerous without a modern medical kit.
Also in another report I saw - it was an expedition of some scientists in the Amazonas related region, when they got infections unde the toe nails walking uncovered.
Related to the game some little birch bark shoes can have a function. We also see that a pot does not necessarily need to be from iron.

Birch tar

Something else: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birch_tar

This was used to build stone weapons but also later i.e. to mount the arrowhead to the shaft.

War archery

This video of Lars Andersen shows what war archery looked like and how fast it could be used:
