I've never used bulls. They're lousy milk producers

Gameplay questions / Re: Have you bought a hunting horn?

Keep in mind that villages' inventories slowly refresh with time, so it may be worth going back to Driik or in villages you've already visited to see if they have interesting new things to buy.

I found my masterwork broad knife in a Reemilaiset village, and several hunting horns in Kaumolaiset villages. I think you can find masterwork items with good regularity within "rich" cultures (Driikilaiset, Sartolaiset, Koivulaiset and Reemilaiset), with Driik being the most likely.

If you upgrade to 3.63, there's a new specific key shortcut [!] to control pets and companions. Haven't found a way to interrupt sleep, though.

Yeah, it's one of the most infuriating tasks to complete as the robbers don't ever leave the forest cover, and don't seem to leave tracks on the overland map until AFTER you've zoomed in on their location. You have to manually zoom into each tile, and look around for human tracks. If they're nearby you also won't be able to exit the area to the overmap, which is a good indicator. You will lose time, sanity, and unless you savescum (rollback your save to when you just accepted the quest), your save file size is going to massively inflate from all the local maps you've visited. The reward is pretty good though (100 squirrel pelts worth of goods), but I think I'll just save myself the effort and skip that one, next time.

No worries at all Night, I know people have plenty on their plate already, especially in these times. I'll be glad to see what new features you come up with, but I'm very happy you already took the time to port your indispensable mod to 3.63! Thanks!

Isn't their mod deprecated? The last comment is a request for someone to fix it.

Fantastic mod, I'll definitely try it out! I've often wondered why we didn't have sleds or travois to facilitate hauling stuff around.

Modding / Re: How to install mods

Most of the mods have a ReadMe file that comes with. It's honestly pretty easy, just a matter of dropping the files in the game's install folder, you may have to overwrite some vanilla files in the process.
Remember to back up any files that would be overwritten if you want to remove the mod, though verifying files with Steam would also restore any overwritten files back to vanilla.

I thought I had read this thread before, hah. Sneaky.

I feel like 2 nets would give you a comfortable amount of fish to live on. You'll want to drop them in deeper waters (darker tiles) which might require you to build a raft, and check them every 25 hours or more (don't wait more than two days).

Modding / Re: Unreal World - Modded

I mostly use BAC, Extended Encyclopedia and Jaredonians Character Models + Distinct Tribes. Of all the mods in the mod forum there aren't actually a ton that are up-to-date, but BAC is, and offers plenty of gameplay improvements to play around with already. Extended Encyclopedia and JCM+DT are for extra flavor and are more minor mods.

I also use a portrait pack that I found elsewhere on the internet, and URWCharacterMenu which is pretty much a cheat mod.

I didn't see it in your planned features - but would you consider a Rituals editor (adding/removing Rituals) or is that outside the scope of what you can/want to do? I've often wanted to play around with them but earning them is slow, and the starting ones are always a gamble.
