@koteko
Good point, I actually know what thats like, I'm like that with several other games, mostly grand strategy games. As I said the main reason it isn't so with Unreal world is because I modded the stuffing out of it. In fact I've got so many mods I need to modify the mods due to compatibility issues.

Did not know that, I'll check myself. Still it's very strange that injury text says that one's hand is injured and not left/right hand.

The roleplayer is confused by gameplay mechanic.

In combat it's a given that you can't use the physician skill, this isn't some jrpg where you can just down a potion and everything is okay. But there is a problem here as physician is the only way to check your own wounds. This makes it problematic when you are wounded in midbattle as your supposed to be able to switch which hand your fighting with. It doesn't make much sense that we can't tell which arm/leg is wounded, isn't that why pain exists? Perhaps there could be a way to look at yourself, or be aware of your own wounds. I mean the combat messages don't even tell you which side gets banged up!

Solved'n'fixed bug reports / Vanishing fire.
« on: August 17, 2017, 08:02:36 AM »
A strange thing happened to the roleplayer.

I had lit a fire, a large one made from about 9 planks and a few dozen branches, because I was leaving the area soon and didn't like leaving tree bits around. I then went to pack up my traps but when I returned, low and behold the fire was gone, no embers left behind, only the stone I used to mark my fire spot.

Is this intentional? Are the spirits being cheeky, even though I am at unity with the world. Or is it a bug?

The Roleplayer suggests this.

Hello I'm the roleplayer, I prefer to introduce myself as above because I feel like it. Anyway, it is very true that the game lacks real endgame content, and it might be some time before its added. I noticed this after I survived my first winter, and then got very bored and was mauled by some kaumo robbers. Those guys are just ridiculous, beating up some innocent owl tribe traveler.
Anyway, that is when I started to mod the game, to add different goals. I then found the Shaman Mod, which actually adds some very difficult to achieve goals. Now I'm not saying that that is the cure for endgame boredom, but I'm saying that you just need to look around and FIND something to do once your character is settled. My way was through the shaman mod. Some suggestions include: Become a master of all forms of combat, Wipe out a tribe (if your that evil), gather x hides of the elusive snake/swan. Use your imagination and find a way.

The roleplayer most definately agrees.

But the second post is about something that once did exist in the game, npc shops.

They were removed from the game some time ago, and it sort of makes sense that trading is communal now, especially considering the size of the villages. And also villagers do actually have their own possessions that only they can trade away, it's in their inventory.

Roleplayer agrees,

I think also that npcs should automatically provide an option to direct you to a sage if you are visibly injured. I mean it's pretty odd that some huntsman is talking to my Pienivelho when he has just been repeatedly mauled by a bear and barely escaped with his life.

Also if it is planned to add any use for the different professions then we would need to have a way to find specific rarer ones.
