Just found an ant nest in a lichenous pine forest. Took only 10 more minutes of searching. I was just unlucky in the first few hours

It is more difficult to hit a mobile target, yes. The size of the target also affects the accuracy of the shot I say use the rough long bow, assuming the -1 impact is the only effect of rough quality Long bows are more accurate, damaging, and able to shoot from the longest range compared to other bows.
