Gameplay questions / Re: How to protect against ninja wolves?
« on: October 14, 2018, 05:07:09 PM »
I have had 6 or 7 Reindeer in a pen for a couple of ingame years now and never once was attacked. Now, what might have happened to you is that there was more than one wolf, they usually travel in packs, that's why they are so dangerous.

Off-topic / Happy People on Netflix

This documentary is on Netflix now, although it's the short version, I think the uncut version runs for 3 or more hours.
Anyway, it's an easy way to watch it if you haven't seen it already.

My first time I used a Noadi in a stew and was tripping for days because I kept eating the stew. I then finally realized what that effect was. I never do Noadis because the effect is annoying.

It makes sense and it would tie in nicely with the improved climate effects we got some versions ago courtesy of Erka.

Gameplay questions / Re: Short Questions/Quick Answers

Has anyone figured out how bones are referenced in the game? I tried to create a carved bone using a "bone" and a "Stag bone" as reference but neither was valid. Ended up using a Brooche and setting the material as bone.

Just tested this:

Code: [Select]
{Bone}
Seems to work fine: uses up a single bone (of any size).

I was asking for the base material, but thinking again I don't think it's possible to use a bone as a base material, like its not possible to use a piece of meat, but thanks.

When you say they cover the same areas, do they give the same protection too?

The game log (shift + L) contains all the important activities you've done (e.g. dug a pit, caught a roach, encountered/killed an animal, entered a settlement) and the date and time it was done (e.g. Day 3 of last week before midsummer point - year 16 - noon).  You start in year 16.

It's year 19 so that makes him 3 or 4 years old.

There is an option to ask him to leave your land. Maybe if you keep doing this, you can heard him out of the peninsula.

A long time ago I dismissed a companion right on his village, but he decided to go wandering around, and in the end I had the same problem that you have but didn't know where the guy was.

Regarding point number 2, I play a game called Combat Mission, where sound contacts are represented by a question mark. You have heard something there but you don't know what it is.

I think he is two years old, but I forgot how to check that. Is there even a way?

your char starts at age 16, so whatever age he/she currently has, -16.

my current char is 24y old, so he's ingame for 8 years. he left behind him a trail of construction. it's horrible.

But where do you check the age?
