What is legacy game? Whats this?

Basically there are a few different characters that get passed person to person. Once you have the character you play for a month as them before handing it off to the next player.

It's funny, in the past three years of playing this game, I've always made a backup folder for characters. The one time I don't I get the BSOD.

Not really sure if this was caused by URW, but I was playing and in the middle of tanning a hide when my laptop blue screened. Restarted my PC and the save file is corrupted; when loading a character the name is blank and when I select it the game says it cannot migrate character as it comes from a version before 3.17. Figure I'll post the character folder so you can take a look in case it was caused by URW. Are there currently any legacy characters going around? If not, who all would be interested in starting a new legacy game?
