Bug reports / forest cover quest

I was tracking down a lost sheep and track the trail to it's end. When I was burning spruce twigs on the tracks all of a sudden the whole trail disappeared! Every last track is gone!

I don't know how to upload a save, but I can try.

Edit: Not sure if this is a bug or if lighting multiple fires causes you to lose favor with the spirits enough to hide the tracks.

Is it just a matter of looking in every cave?
Will they be found in caves?
When do they start hibernating and when do they stop (approximately, of course)?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm trying to complete the Advanced Adventures before spring if I can.  ;D

Suggestions / ft of Cord

Instead of having a separate length of cord why not make them all 1ft? The item would then be called "ft of Cord" and the length would be in the quantity. Each recipe would make 15 pieces. This would eliminate quite a bit of micromanagement and be easier to program. It would also cut down on item limits as each grade of cord would be 1 item no matter how many feet you have. Same could be done for rope.

Just a suggestion.

If I make 1 arrow it requires 1ft of cord. If I make 5 arrows at a time it requires 5ft of cord * 5. Making 2 requires 2ft *2 and so on.

As much as I enjoy a nice geometric progression, this is probably a bug.  ;)

I've remember reading somewhere that as many as 25 plants could be planted per square but that not all would sprout. So my question to those farmers out there is how many?

So, it takes 3 500lbs logs to make an 80lbs raft?

Perhaps slender logs should be used instead? In real life I wouldn't  fell 3 full sized trees for a simple raft - I'd fell smaller trees anyways.

It seems that companion dogs don't leave tracks even if they are NPC dogs. Town dogs still do when they leave the village tile.

A little annoying when they've got an arrow I want back in them.  ;)

Suggestions / Cord to rope and back

It would be nice to be able to turn cord into rope and split rope back into cord at some point. You probably lose some in the latter.

I had 1ft of cord left from various things. I then when to construct 1 arrow and had >0.1 weight left of cord. I have been able to make a further 9 arrows with this and still have the cord.

How about an official list of Tags for the modding community?

Right now we have a good list of tags that have been confirmed to work, but not a list of all of them. An official list would be quite useful, IMO.

Modding / Tag for Nettle and Linen only?

So, the [Cloth] tag allows you to use and textile for leather to nettle. We also have the [Animal hide] tag that lets you only use leather and hide. is there an equivalent that lets you use any cloth except animal hide?

Bug reports / Cannot throw 1 handed

If you have an arm that's too badly hurt to use you are unable to throw equipped items like rocks that should be throwable 1 handed. You can still throw them from inventory, but it takes extra time to ready it first.

Be nice if you could just have a rock in hand to peg a bird you stumble into.

Modding / Torch with no light?

Can you make a recipe using a torch as the base item that produces no light?

I ask because a very ancient way of fire lighting was to have a smoldering ember of something and carry that with you. The torches functionality with lighting a fire would be the in game equivalent, but such things wouldn't produce any light, especially when tucked away in a pack.
