Gameplay questions / Stuck on an island?

Hi, I've just come back to the game after a longer break. I chose to start my new character on an island in the south (Islander area). Now, it seems I'm stuck on that island. Any ideas how I might get off?

I have only a stone axe and can't make boards with it. No boards, no paddle. No paddle, no movement on deeper water.

There's no island close enough to swim across and there is no village on my island for trading.

There are some robbers with better tools but they've already robbed me. I have no real weapons anymore. (Just started with a bow anyway.)

Not bugs / [let it be] Snow showing on open water tiles

I just got the first snow that is actually staying on the ground. The tiles are speckled in white and when looking at the ground it tells me: very faint snow. Now the weird bit is, that I get the same speckles on tiles with open sea. The water in this tile is not frozen yet, so how can snow stay on the water?

I wear linen trousers that cover my feet. As much as I like my feet warm, I think it's weird that trousers cover my feet.

Gameplay questions / Help finding a treasure

Hi everyone

I need help finding a treasure. I need to look for a chasm in a cliff. I have no clue how this is supposed to look like. There are plenty of cliffs in the area named and I feel like I'll be digging the whole winter to find that treasure.

My current character doesn't have much luck with hunting and needs desperately some furs for winter clothing and skis. This treasure might just be the way to finally get some furs.
