Can I zoom in closer? Hi,

I only started playing this game recently, and I am hooked. My only issue is that I really wish there were a way to zoom in more on the local map. I play sitting a few feet away on a big screen TV, as I know a lot of people do with PC games these days. From this distance, however, I can't see the things as well as I would like. I can zoom in with the scroll button on the mouse, but it doesn't go nearly as far in as other games with a similar graphics style. If I had more control of the zoom it would really improve the experience.

Off to holidays! So, there's still summer left and there are no showstoppers discovered in the latest version -- that equals to me getting off to holidays now.
We can call this latter summer holiday, and I have feeling I'll spend quite a long one. So it's likely autumn, or early winter, before I get back to development chambers again.
I still can be reached by e-mail, but expect delays with replies. And on rainy days I may rarely pop up at forums too, but don't follow conversations very actively at all.
Take care, help each others out, stay safe and have some good times and adventures!
I'm off to holidays...

Re: 5 reasons why Unreal World is one of the most original and rewarding games ever, This one, too, was a spam-bot for the post is a copy-paste from a reddit post some years old.

I've seriously tightened the forum anti-spam measures, but still it seems that some bots manage to sneak through. Sigh. Well, I need to think if something more can be done. And in the meantime I'll be manually weeding off the spammer accounts. Fellow forumers, please use the "report to moderator" function when you spot a message which appears to be a copypaste from old forum posts or from reddit or some other urw-related discussion forums.

ps. I'll still leave the copypasted post here, for the content is okay. I just blocked the spam account so that it can't return to edit the post to insert their spam links.

Re: Forest spirit is acting weird When you sacrifice to the forest spirits some silver is used, resulting in the item getting damaged. Eventually the last bit is sacrificed, at which point the item is lost.

I haven't gotten anything useful of of the forest spirit, apart from a useless ritual (useless in the sense that the required geographic feature isn't present anywhere near).

Wrong weight for the loop snares  Hi everyone, I think the weight for the loop snares has been wrong since the tying equipment overhaul. A 15 ft cord weights 0,5 lbs but the loop snare which is made using 3 ft of the cord, weights the same as before instead of 0,1 lbs, a fifth of the total.

Re: The quest about finding a lost sheep makes me really mad   I have a very good track record with this quest so I'll share my tatic with everyone willing.

Spoiler: show
In my experience the animal tracks are in the central part of the circular search radius, in the zoomed out map I approximate the center and zoom in and start searching in an expanding spiral. I usually find the animal or the predator that's spawned with the animal in half an hour, if I find the predator's tracks I follow them backwards since they usually intersect with the missing animal's ones.

Idle cpu consumption When I'm not making any inputs, the game will utilize 100% of one of my cores, even if I'm in a menu or somewhere when there's no animations or anything. Is there any way to prevent this? It seems like really unnecessary power consumption. I tried using "Old Hardware Mode" no no avail.

I'm using 3.62 on Linux Mint

I borrowed a fine axe in the village to make a wooden bowl so I can carry some water around with me

Wait, that's a thing you can do? I've always had villagers get angry with me if I'm holding something of theirs for too long, even if I haven't moved out of the village tile.

If you leave the axe on the ground and craft your wooden bowl on a nearby tile, they won't get angry and you still get to use the tool! ;)

Re: Need help on the "Kaumo furs" quest ALL it takes is for a Fine quality fur to be skinned. I've done the quest several times with just a Fine squirrel fur. As soon as you skin off that Fine quality fur, the quest will update your success.

BUT, it has to be within Kaumo lands!!
