I'm currently working on an animal sprite overhaul, what do you guys think? Hey guys, I've been working on a couple of animal sprites recently.

I've been a fan of Galgana's creature sprites (incredible, especially when compared to the vanilla sprites) for a long while and I thought I might as well try my hand at making sprites reminiscent of their work. These are still obviously my own creations (thanks MSPaint), but I wanted to create something that could be used in tandem with their mod, to fill the gaps more or less. Who knows, I may even create my own overhaul that covers all of the animals. If any of you have any suggestions on where I can improve or where I've f**ked up feel free to let me know. I've also dabbled with the rain and snow, it's always bugged me that you lose so much visibility in these weather conditions, but that's for another topic.

Here are the sprites, a humble badger, and beaver (already done the full sprites, these are just teasers).

EDIT: I modified the badger/beaver sprites and created two more, the glutton (wolverine) and polecat

German Shepherd Dog Sprite Hey all, working on a German Shepherd sprite change for the dog icon. I know it's obviously not possible for this breed to be in the setting, but I love my own GSD and seeing his likeness in game brings me joy.

Sharing it here in case anyone is interested in it. Let me know what you guys think!

Do I want to take that risk? This happent the first time I've ever played UnReal World.

I was getting thirsty and approaching a water source I received the classic question:

Do you want to drink from the natural source?

That question lead me to a dilema, and my toughts process were like these.

Do I take the risk to drink polluted, contaminated water?
Or do I keep going to find "clean water"?

I live by a river, I've drunk its waters here and there. But honestly, it is a really polluted river.
Was funny to find out that back then in Iron Age things were quite different.

I just felt like sharing this little episode.

Re: Combat Tips 1. Avoid combat whenever possible. Combat is dangerous and unpredictable. Your character can die because of a lucky strike by the opponent.

- When attacking, I prefer to use a missile weapon whenever possible, and then keep the distance. Due to the way the game works, human enemies rush at you at full speed and will tire themselves fairly quickly, slowing to a crawl. When you've managed to tire them out completely the can safely be dispatched with missiles (you can even use rocks and cycle back to pick them back up to continue the attack). If the enemy uses missile weapons it's much harder, but not impossible to take them out safely using a bow by (ab)using the enemy behavior logic.
- Don't allow the enemy to outnumber you. Attacks from behind cannot be defended against, and they'll eventually get a lucky hit in regardless of how armored you are.
- DON'T run! Running when encumbered is extremely exhausting, and you'll quickly be reduced to a running speed that's lower than your normal walking speed. There are a few rare exceptions to this.
- Encumbrance is dangerous. High encumbrance means that you've got a significant penalty to both your offensive and defensive skills. These penalties stack with fatigue and penalties from injuries.
- If you have to engage an enemy in melee, wear as protective armor as you can and don't carry anything you don't need within the fight itself. This means dropping food, water, ... before the engagement (and make very sure you drop the items where you can find them again).
- If you fight enough you will eventually die regardless of skill.
- A completely exhausted enemy has a very hard time to hit you, but they will eventually, and if that enemy is a bear there's a good chance that will result in a bad wound if you're armored up. I never willingly engage bears, wolves, or gluttons in melee. If they're caught in a trap I'll throw rocks at them until they die (rocks make blunt impact, reducing the damage the injuries cause to the hide).

If the above sounds boring, you're free to play how you like. Just be prepared for the consequences.

Hehe, well - absolutely no problem with that! For, if you feel comfortable with using the keyboard, then you really don't need this app. The core idea of this app is to offer an alternative for those players who, for a reason or another, find the physical keyboard somewhat difficult to use.

There's a key point... What is your motus to do so...

Once I've done a village raid (Wasn't a Njerp- one).
My motus was to get some pretty fine furs, great spear, some axes, pots... Valuables in general...
The character was a good warrior, and its armour was hard to penetrate.

After seeing the slaughter. Little children, the screams, the blood... limbs and heads around.
Not only was it unworthy, it was shocking.

What do you want to archieve?
I think once you answer that question, you may have a clearer wiev about.

Be ready To all my dear friends in Finland - be ready. Rabid orc is on the loose and you guys are not part of NATO. Threats are being made again and I am sure some of you are taking them seriously, but please be ready.

Yes, we are bleeding rabid orc. Yes, Ukraine WILL stand, but there are quite a lot of them and they have been amassing weapons for last 30+ years. I know that its rather low possibility that the hordes will attack you at this moment, but its not impossible. Be ready.

Visible wielded weapons + worn clothing? It would be nice if the weapons we are holding and the clothing changes applied were actually visible. Has this ever been considered? In games like these which lack much in the way of animation, I feel as though details like this really do add to the overall game experience. Thoughts?

Yeah. I don't play UrW anymore, so maybe it was repaired already, but over year ago, I was trying to hunt down a lynx for probably like a week, maybe even two weeks. One time late in the day I spotted some pretty recent tracks, and there was no way I would not try to catch it. The hunt just kept going on, until it got pitch black, I had only one tile of visibility, but I was already so close to catching it, that I simply ignored it and kept following the tracks...
And then to my surprise I see a lynx, right next to me! It was walking my way!!! Finally!! I smacked it over the head with my staff, and the next day I started tanning it's hide ;D

But I don't really get what happened? Do (or did) the lynxes have only 1 tile of visibility at night? Lol. But they would still have hearing, and would know I am still following it. So did it just forgot it was running away from me for like a few hours? xD
