Ability to select starting position
Following the discussion at http://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=6072.15 about Nights scrpt to allow better chice of starting position as a option, is it possible to add some similar code to the vanilla game? The script requires Microsoft .Net to work which limits it usefulness on other systems and even some none technical windows users have problems, if it was in urw as an option, in some form, then it would be cross platform and better integrated.

Rowan berries
I was out collecting rowan berries just the other day to make some light mead and jam, and it occured to me that rowan berries are missing from the game. Although they are quite bitter and mildly poisonous if eaten straight out of the tree as soon as they become ripe, after the first night frosts or after boiling (or throwing them into the freezer for a day in modern times) most of the parasorbic acid that makes them bitter is converted into sorbic acid, which makes them less bitter, and the mildly poisonous substances present in the seeds are also destroyed, especially during cooking. In game terms, rowan beries could be something that's still available in late autumn/early winter when all the other berries are already out of season (somewhat similar to cranberries). The rowan tree and its berries have had a prominent position in folk magic and folk medicine, so it would somehow feel quite appropriate - would probably require quite a bit of work to add, though; coding the rowan trees so that they can have berries in the first place, plus some new graphics. Recovering from a forum crash
Hello! We recently experienced a server-side crash at the forums. To fully recover from the crash I had to manually restore the latest database backup, which was less than 24 hours old. Unreal World in the Media
Hi Last week Nov 17th 2021 Nookrium (129K subscribers) made a video about Unreal World on his YouTube channel, which already has some 6K views and favourable thumbs up, as expected. my starving dog just killed a bear single handed
so, I was hunting a bear. wearing all the gears I could gather around, stalking, point-blank shot 8 arrows, missed all of them. The big guy finally got pissed off and charged at me, I blocked the strike with a shield, pissed in my fine fur pants. Now the bear decided he doesn't like the feel of this, and ran off. I was OK with it, but my dog doesn't take crap from anyone and went after the bear. Now, we were stalking this bear for days, and being the unorganized hunter I am, I didn't bring enough food, so she's been staving for days. I'm not sure what's going on, normally if the dog is injured or starved, they wouldn't execute an 'attack' order. I guess this time it's personal. Anyway, I went after the dog, can't decide if I should bury it, or eat what's left. Then I heard the dog bark, then she came back with just a fracture in the abdomen. I said good, she learned a lesson the hard way, from a bear, that's quite legendary for a Finnish Spitz, you should be proud of yourself. Then I saw the torn body of the poor bear, just lying there, bloodscape. I'm still totally confused. You tell me that little dog, who refuses to chase a reindeer if you don't feed her, just ragdolled a full-grown bear to death? She can't even carry 50 meat cuts. I'd rather believe it's the spirit of the forest, the old man took my silver, he came down, struck the bear to death, saved my dog, then secretly went back up.
